Love Brandstatter as a person. Love Deirdorf as a person. Both are awful on the radio. Both need to be replaced. UM football deserves better play-by-play and better gametime commentary.

Well, if there's someone you would like to see host "Inside Michigan Football" outside of the normal rotation of folks, I am quite sure the producers would be willing to consider some names from random fans on a sports blog. That strategy has always worked in the past anyway.

Brandstatter was part of the first Bo team that reinstituted Michigan as a force in college football. So was Dierdorf. I am glad to see two people who contributed so much on the field have an opportunity to work the radio booth now.
It's called "tradition." Don't be a hyoocrite.

No real response to either comment there...but do you know what happened to Doug Karsch? I don't listen to the radio (not sure why anyone would when everyone complains about it - seems kind of counterproductive), but would he be a fit there?
I remember he used to have a part in these Inside Michigan Football pieces. Maybe he'd be a better option than JB?
I feel at this point, JB is like Michigan's version of Corso and they may take him off PBP...but they're not going to take this little nugget from him. It's a fluff recap and just not that big of a deal. Just my 2 cents.

I would like to see Rick Leach

Grant Perry has some nice hands, nice catches fully extended throughout his career. That one low catch that was ruled incomplete was definitely a catch. I don't like him lunging the ball out there for the touchdown hopefully the coaches make him stop doing that. Totally not needed. Rashan Gary was not a late hit let alone targetting. Again the refs just itching to make that call way too liberally.

Perry had guys closing in on him. By leaping from the 4yd line, before they could make contact, he removed his legs from where they could have been cut down and ensured he got in for the score. I don't think he would have made it otherwise. Even if he kept his feet with two guys hitting him, the third guy could have got there. I have no problem with his effort here.

Not worthy of a post, but what do people think of burning Samuels' redshirt? Seems unnecessary to me with the number of solid RBs we have.

If the ten million dollar man thinks it's needed then I'm for it

They didn't burn his red shirt. The rules have changed according to those who know more than I about it. You get 4 games.

No, that's just a proposal (not voted on yet), apparently.

On the fly I didn't notice how quickly the D turned and started blocking after the first INT. I guess they got the "respond quickly on turnovers" message after last weekend. Watson in particular.
Good coaching, good playing.

We ran all over the field and it was just plays here and there that killed drives. I'm hoping this was just a let down from Florida and we come out and destroy Air Force

It looks like a helmet to the jimmies to me. Afterward he was sitting on the sideline like it was that, too. Did you see something else?
