will be michigan's highest pick in a while
9-22 Early Games Open Thread
If the missed xp winds up being a difference maker this game I'm gonna be so so sad.
I will say that the vibe around town was that the good new for OSU was they'd return their entire defense this year. Turns out that that's also the bad news for them.
Former Buckeye Antonio Pittman on being a poster child for compliance: "This osu tattoo stuff is silly. Cats been getting hookups on tatts since back in '01."
Unfortunately for them, they also returned Luke Fickell
blocked. Fine line maybe, but still.

Nick Lamaison threw a great short pass to Wisconsin's defensive end for what looked like a TD, but this will be called incomplete upon review, I think.
...and it is incomplete. UTEP's punter hasn't had to stay warm in the 2nd quarter as he is getting decent reps in as it is.

Ground can't cause a fumble. Bs
Edit: Never,ind. he fumbled
I thinks the party may be over. OSU finally woke up.
THIS IS MICHIGAN
Boren and his whole family are still the scum of the earth.
Abort, Retry, Fail?
I think that one thing that Nathan Jeffrey needs to consider is that, if you're going to run ten to fifteen yards in the wrong direction, you may want to consider going for the safety and starting over on your next possession.
...but of course, Wisconsin gets called for roughing the kicker and UTEP gets a chance to rush in the right direction with about a minute left in the half.

Let that ball go out of bounds, come on man
CMU kicks another field goal. Up 23-14 on Iowa.
Go Blue! Always!
I'm waiting for the game that helmet rule causes a riot
That 10-second runoff rule is dumb. A guy's helmet coming off has nothing to do with the clock.
Points are irrelevant. The real question is: clandestine gray vs. ghost white, which uni is worse?

I'm going to go with clandestine gray, but all whites do not look good on giant linemen.

UAB with the onside kick recover to start the half
"Welllllllll..."

Score at the half: Florida-17, Kentucky-1
Practice makes perfect. Unless you're the Buckeyes. Then you have to cheat.
Kentucky Passing
Morgan Newton..... 3 ints
Team..... 2 ints
Does ESPN not know that Excel exists or something? You don't have to enter EVERY value in the table.
EDIT: -56 yards passing? Is this real life? Demarcus Sweat also has one phantom kickoff return, because apparently Kentucky only has one return as a team...
Go Blue!
Or is ESPN having a seizure
Much how UAB scored a touchdown an missed the PAT, Kentucky missed the touchdown and scored the PAT.

27 yard punt and that's with a couple yard roll. Is there really no one else on the team who can punt father?
That was a nicely timed run blitz for UAB

UTEP has had a few first downs which have instead been called back for penalties against their offense. The Miner offensive line really should stop giving Lamaison false hope that his passes are effective and will stand.

UAB has been able to get chunks of yards, just can't seem to find the endzone yet
Chop block on a picked up 3rd and 1. Stupid penalty to take
We'll see a lot of those this year. That's 15 yards of butthurt, every time.

Is there a rule change on chop blocks?

Linemen must be within seven yards of the snapper to block low, while backs in the backfield are allowed to do so within the tackle box. All other low blocks are prohibited. So you won't see a receiver taking out a cornerback's knees or linemen going downfield and going low on a run block.
Although in these cases it may not apply, I think the refs may be hyper-sensitive and thus, calling the penalty with moe frequency early in the season.

Thanks. I can see why there have been more of these penalties called this year.

Man, the buckeye just look terrible. They keep winning, but they look so unconvincing squeezing out wins at home against cupcakes. UAB was 3-9 last year but Ohio's defense has given up over 200 yards and 3 scoring drives to them in the first half alone.
How many times have you been on the freeway and had someone fly by you at 100 mph then end up 2 cars ahead of you at the off ramp? What's the point? -Mark Harmon
Ohio has made a habit of squeezing out wins against cupcakes for as long as I can remember. They keep it just close enough to make me excited about them losing and then sneak it out. Assholes.

I actually dont mind the Terps uni's......that whole diggs thing however is a whole different story.
Also I just want to join in on the big ten sucks meme. Just a terrible conference this year no way to defend it.
UTEP scores a TD to close its deficit to 23-16. With Montee Ball out, this could be dicey for UW.
Seriously guys. STOP DIVING AT DEFENSIVE LINEMENS' KNEES!
How many freaking chop blocks have there been in the last 2 weeks of Ohio state games
It's now 23-16 Badgers after UTEP drives 75 yards for a TD. It did get noticably more quiescent in Camp Randall, almost as if the Badger faithful realize that a lot could happen in the last 20 minutes of regulation play. Sure, the Badgers may win, but they won't cover the 18 points with this offense.

Bielema is now feeling the effects of when those under the radar kids dont pan out....Wiscy, Sparty, Iowa should all be use to this. Only two programs in this conference have the ability to recruit at high levels and just reload.
Urb's sec defense he has brought to Columbus is impressive.
Missed tackles against UAB are predictive of another big game for Denard this year. I'm a little less worried about that game. Long season to go obviously.

Thanks, not up to speed on the divisions and how thier set up. If they lose, its still good ridicule ammo. Never the less, its starting to look like ohio is gonna pull this one off.
