#8 Michigan Hockey vs. #14 Wisconsin - Open Thread

Submitted by gwkrlghl on

Ok, I'll make the open thread tonight because Center Ice has not. He must have Friday night plans or something.

#8 Michigan takes on #14 Wisconsin in Madison. Michigan limps in from a very forgettable GLI while Wisconsin comes in having won 7 of their last 8. Big plus side: Andrew Copp is back. The team will look like they care again.

Game is on BTN.

Go team win

fuck this shit. I am so sick of seeing Chiasson as a healthy scratch and Clare and Serville are out there fucking things up. Jesus tap dancing on a cracker.

Can't score goals in wins or loses. If Michigan Hockey had an offensive coordinator he probably would've been fired a few seasons ago

The only difference between this team and last year's team is stellar goaltending. It makes me want to break things to watch a bunch of NHL draft picks be completely unable to put together a coherent offense for weeks at a time.

PDG - 2nd rd
Moffatt - 7th
Hyman - 5th
Nieves - 2nd
Motte - 4th
Compher - 2nd
Copp - 4th
Guptill - 3rd

That's nearly three lines deep of good NHL draft picks. We have scored 2 goals or less in 11 of 17 games this year. What more does this coaching staff need to field a competant offense?
And this isn't a trend that just started this year.

Thank goodness we have Nagelvoort and Racine or this team would be out of the running for the tournament already. Someone go give Josh Blackburn a full time job.

Pathetic showing. Second game in a row.

Woop de do, they scored two late goals. Guess what? wisconsin already had the game won and they knew it even up only 3-2.

WTF games happen in hockey to the best teams so I'm not worried yet. If they do this bullshit again tomorrow, I'm gonna very concerned and angry.

Negative trends started in mid November with frequently choking away 3rd period leads and increasing GAA. Hard to find any positives. Tomorrow seems to be a must win before another bye week, then playing MSU at JLA and Munn, the latter is where they usually play poorly.
