7v7 Team "Michigan" @ The Opening in July
Opening 7v7 team "Hypercool" is a bunch of Michigan commits and targets. I believe OSU has a similar team with their commits/targets competing as well.

QB Dylan McCaffrey (committed), RB O'maury Samuels (committed), RB A.J. Dillon (committed), WR Nico Collins, WR Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR Jhamon Ausbon, TE Josh Falo, LB Jordan Anthony, LB Joshua Ross (committed), LB Drew Singleton, CB Benjamin St-Juste (committed), CB Ambry Thomas, CB Donovan Johnson, ATH Markquese Bell
Could you imagine if that was UM's haul.....
Only guys that are really unlikely are Johnson, Falo, and Bell, and Johnson is only because we haven't offered. This could be a great little sneak preview.

Markese Bell named us his leader a month ago so I wouldn't really say he is "really unlikely"

So did Pie Young a month before signing day last year. And like Pie, we are cooled on Bell.
Based on your insider knowledge of the situation? Lol

No JKP? He was invited too wasn't he?
I was wondering the same thing. At least his cousin is on the squad.
Maybe just an oversight...
JKP is on Team Fly Rush.
Baron Browning (LB, TX) is the only other target on that squad that really rang a bell.
Nike is already paying off, no way they do this for an Adidas school.....
Great point. Jim couldn't have built a better recruiting tool.
JH doesn't need any commercial brand...HE is the draw. Nike is nice but they are curtain drapes.
but there was a reason that Hackett and Harbaugh went with Nike/Jumpman, while leaving millions of dollars on the table. Nike/Jumpman is more popular with the kids and they will sell more merchandise with them.
Harbaugh - premier apparel talent evaluator. He doesn't stand for anything but the best, and that's why he's the best.
I suppose it's a good thing DPJ is playing with a bunch of Michigan commits?
Si Senor.
I feel like this goes a long way in getting the top targets. Especially McCaffery throwing to DPJ. This team has me all giddy thinking about 2017 and beyond.
Me too. DPJ would be huge.

I just went from six to midnight.
Did you now? If you would be so kind as to let us know how this time travel was achieved, but only the part that implies that this was time travel. I think the rest of it may be a bit much for those of us who just woke up and are trying to gather what our days will be. Actually, maybe even at that, you might want to keep what allowed you to achieve this mostly under wraps. PLEASE keep it under wraps.
i just went from midnight to six. less impressive...
McCaffery throwing to Nico Collins too.
I am irrationally excited about this.
Now don't go and do something nefarious again, Eduardo.
to get you out of the number 6*6
I hope they matchup against the OSU team. Could be a preview of some great future match ups.
I am sure the guys that committed will be recruiting hard!
The realistic thought that all of them could be on the field at the same time in a couple years is stunning. Football offseasons are so much fun now.
Ambry Thomas is a good CB but I actually like him more as a slot ninja. He is a playmaker with the ball in his hands. I'm anxious to see Team Hypercool against the nations best.
The list of versatile players Harbaugh is bringing in is off the charts! Bo, Gary, Lloyd, Rich Rod, and Hoke never imagined bringing in so many players of such versatile athletic quality. It opens up so many more options to the coaches - and players - for positioning them in the spot that suits them best, regardless of what they are recruited as.
'Hey, Gentry, the QB depth charts looks pretty deep, want to try being a TE?' 'Get me on the field? Hell yeah!'
Need a backup NT behind Mone? Maybe Onwenwu goes back to defense? We can get TWJ to fill in on the OL until someone steps up. Got it covered... I love this versatility!!
You forgot..." Hey Peppers we have spots to fill at S, LB, CB, RB, PR, KR, and QB" The only downside to his game might be the fact that he is slightly underdeveloped for the OL and DL, just slightly. But hey we have Harbaugh so who know. Love the versatility of these guys coming in.
Slightly underdeveloped? Have you seen his pad level? It's off the charts.
His underdevelopment makes the same case as Jordan Lewis's small hand size or lack of hight and needing to stay another year. Meaning very small defficiencies as a O Lineman or D Lineman is why he should stay at michigan all 4 years.
These kids like competition, fun and a shot at the League. Harbaugh is giving them all that and a shot at the position they prefer. If Ambry is off the charts in the slot and on reverses, turning nothing into something, he'll get his chance.
Between Peppers, Thomas and Hudson, it's not impossible to think that our 2017 team could feature multiple guys on both sides of the ball. It's one thing to have a Peppers package, but what about a Peppers/Hudson package in the backfield? Who gets the ball, especially when Ambry is in motion? It's about to get scary on that side of the ball.
Don't forget about David Long - he was a scary WR, also! His film certainly proves that point...
Michigan debuted/invented the platoon system and by god we'll convert right back if we want.
It's definitely fun to imagine. My personal prediction - we won't actually see much 2-way besides JP as the monsters we are recruiting on the offence start to develop. I just don't see hudson or thomas getting many snaps over guys like DPJ (fingers crossed no jinxes knock on wood sniff the glue etc), Walker, and whoever else develops into a star. I think we forget just how talented jabrill is compared to guys like hudson. Then again I may be totally wrong.
How are these teams formed. Do the players get together and form a team, or does the camp administration make the teams, or what?
I don't think so, but are any of those non-bolded kids actually committed elsewhere? Because if not, addition to the pro Michigan drumbeat, you're also not likely to get any kind of counter-drumbeat for any other particular school. The only way Michigan would have much competition in the discussion among the kids on that team is if for some reason 3-4 were also very seriously considering the same alternative school (OSU, Clemson etc). But if neither of those are the case, this could be a persuasive week for some of these targets.

In a McCaffrey interview recently, he said his main two guys he wants with him in Michigans class is DPJ and Nico Collins. Having them play together in this tournament is HUGE
WD, Where can I get some team Hypercool merch?
knows a guy...
