7v7 Team "Michigan" @ The Opening in July

Submitted by RED DAWN on

Opening 7v7 team "Hypercool" is a bunch of Michigan commits and targets.  I believe OSU has a similar team with their commits/targets competing as well.

I feel like this goes a long way in getting the top targets. Especially McCaffery throwing to DPJ. This team has me all giddy thinking about 2017 and beyond.

Did you now? If you would be so kind as to let us know how this time travel was achieved, but only the part that implies that this was time travel. I think the rest of it may be a bit much for those of us who just woke up and are trying to gather what our days will be. Actually, maybe even at that, you might want to keep what allowed you to achieve this mostly under wraps. PLEASE keep it under wraps.

The realistic thought that all of them could be on the field at the same time in a couple years is stunning.  Football offseasons are so much fun now.

Ambry Thomas is a good CB but I actually like him more as a slot ninja. He is a playmaker with the ball in his hands. I'm anxious to see Team Hypercool against the nations best.

The list of versatile players Harbaugh is bringing in is off the charts!  Bo, Gary, Lloyd, Rich Rod, and Hoke never imagined bringing in so many players of such versatile athletic quality.  It opens up so many more options to the coaches - and players - for positioning them in the spot that suits them best, regardless of what they are recruited as.

'Hey, Gentry, the QB depth charts looks pretty deep, want to try being a TE?'  'Get me on the field?  Hell yeah!'

Need a backup NT behind Mone?  Maybe Onwenwu goes back to defense?  We can get TWJ to fill in on the OL until someone steps up.  Got it covered...  I love this versatility!!

These kids like competition, fun and a shot at the League.  Harbaugh is giving them all that and a shot at the position they prefer.  If Ambry is off the charts in the slot and on reverses, turning nothing into something, he'll get his chance.

Between Peppers, Thomas and Hudson, it's not impossible to think that our 2017 team could feature multiple guys on both sides of the ball.  It's one thing to have a Peppers package, but what about a Peppers/Hudson package in the backfield?  Who gets the ball, especially when Ambry is in motion?  It's about to get scary on that side of the ball.

It's definitely fun to imagine.  My personal prediction  - we won't actually see much 2-way besides JP as the monsters we are recruiting on the offence start to develop.  I just don't see hudson or thomas getting many snaps over guys like DPJ (fingers crossed no jinxes knock on wood sniff the glue etc), Walker, and whoever else develops into a star. I think we forget just how talented jabrill is compared to guys like hudson.  Then again I may be totally wrong.

How are these teams formed. Do the players get together and form a team, or does the camp administration make the teams, or what?

I don't think so, but are any of those non-bolded kids actually committed elsewhere? Because if not, addition to the pro Michigan drumbeat, you're also not likely to get any kind of counter-drumbeat for any other particular school. The only way Michigan would have much competition in the discussion among the kids on that team is if for some reason 3-4 were also very seriously considering the same alternative school (OSU, Clemson etc). But if neither of those are the case, this could be a persuasive week for some of these targets.

In a McCaffrey interview recently, he said his main two guys he wants with him in Michigans class is DPJ and Nico Collins. Having them play together in this tournament is HUGE
