The game is a loss, but for all of you that seem fascinated by all white uniforms you can actually see how hideous (IMO) they look.
courts be like "why is it a problem if people get money"
I agree they look terrible, IMO they go absolutely awful with our helmets.
Man those are terrible. Imagine the message board outrage those would face if we wore them now.
Watch for Mike Lantry's field goal attempt at the end!
Good or not?
Edit: I can't watch.
Ouch...I remember listening to a clip of Bob Ufer announcing that play...you could hear the pain in his voice. He was such a good announcer.
I wish there was an "awesome" setting to moderate this comment.
Looked good to Paterno in the booth too.
Yep. Those were the very people that sent Lantry letters telling him they were happy to get the Rose Bowl birth but he was robbed. Lantry said he got about 50 of them.
OSU fans actually admitting that a win over that school up north was handed to them through controversy is still hard for me to believe.
Had the play been called correctly, Woody would have been 3-6-1 against Bo.
In HS our practice unis were all white, and ever since, I just Can't see an all white uni and take a team seriously
And we didn't go to a bowl game.
In '73, we went 10-0-1, had three shutouts, began OSU game @ #4, but no bowl game.
In '72, we went 10-1, had four shutouts, began the OSU game @ #3, but no bowl game.
In '70, we went 9-1, had three shutouts, began OSU game @ #4, but no bowl game.
Imagine having your team go 39-1-3 over four seasons and not see them play in one fucking bowl game, thanks to the Big Ten and its criminally stupid Rose Bowl-or-nothing policy back then. THAT'S why the OSU game became so huge when Bo came here—it was a stumbling block in a way that fans today just can't conceive of.
Great defensive ball game but Latry nailed the FG...It drifted left well behind the cross bar! I was 11 years old and felt crushed after this game. White road uniforms were not the greatest!
