Hey, do you think we have a good chance of going undefeated before we play Penn State? I think the only tough battle ahead will be MSU, and I'm not too sure how hard that will be now. Thoughts?

Playing at Iowa might be the biggest obstacle to 7-0.
In my 9-3 regular season projection, I had them losing to Iowa and going into that game at 6-1.
I'm a tad more optimistic than most people here, but I am beginning to think they could go 10-2 or even 11-1 after what happened today. I had them also losing to PSU and Wisky, but Wisky and Iowa aren't exactly looking like world-beaters right now. The games looked like sure losses to me, but Iowa is looking like a tossup and Wisky is looking like a win at this point.
It's not so much that they beat ND today that makes me think I may not have been optimistic enough, but how Forcier looked. I know the announcers beat it into the ground, but he definitely looked mature beyond his years. That last drive was something you expect out of an upperclassman.
Upgrading the #1 QB to "de facto upperclassman" definitely changes the outlook, at least to me.
I think we might not have the depth and experience to consistently play as well as we have. On paper, I'm not impressed with the big ten, outside of PSU and OSU I guess.
However, taking our young offense on the road might lead to a slip up or two.
One game at a time.
Never look past MSU. Even when MSU sucks, they still play us hard.
But yes. Beat Eastern first.
One week at a time fellas. Enjoy the night and tomorrow we start prepping for Eastern Michigan, who gave NW a scare today (Lost 27-24).
Thank you. This was a GREAT win for the program today, but...
This team still has plenty of room for improvement. Let's hope the players handle this win a little better than some of our more overzealous fans.
undefeated, we're in good shape. As giddy as I am about today's win, baby steps...baby steps.
I would guess 6-1 but I definitely wouldn't bet against it.
With 89 freshmen and sophmores on the team just enjoy the ride that this team is taking us on week by week.
As we all know 3-9 was only a season ago, so just enjoy each game for what it is.
Getting ahead of yourself only leads to disappointment.
Were just taking it one game time at a time.
All I care about right now is Eastern. Also I can steal your girlfriend right now if I wanted too and you would be ok with that.
Screw that. 12-0 going into the Rose Bowl against YOUR BYU Cougars! If I'm going to dream, I'm going to dream big.
pump the brakes big guy. we potentially could be 7-0 but just cool it right now.
This writer thinks Michigan may have a shot at 12-0:
"The question is, who's going to make enough plays to beat Michigan this season? Look at the Wolverines' schedule. The game at Michigan State looks a lot more winnable after the Spartans' loss Saturday to a Central Michigan, doesn't it? Iowa is down. Wisconsin needed overtime to beat Fresno State at home. Penn State and Ohio State are the two most difficult teams on the Michigan schedule, but both will come to Michigan Stadium.
Am I saying Michigan, which went 3-9 in 2008, could go 12-0 in 2009? Yes. I'm saying it's possible. I'm saying Michigan could. "
unlikely, I do see 4-0 going into East Lansing, but that game will be tough no doubt, along with the following week at Iowa. After that Delaware State, so worst case 5-2 at that point I think.
If Tate gets hurt then all bets are off....
losing receivers like this we'll be lucky to be 4-3. At this rate, will we even have any by PSU?
Extrapolation is fun!
