...since Nebraska probably thinks they should get a 1997 football special on the network, too.
EDIT: That's not MY position, mind you...but ever since the Huskers were added to the conference it's something I haven't been able to detatch whenever I think about that school.
Maybe a trophy needs to be created whenever the two schools met in football...a big, brass-cast number "97" goes to the winner and the loser's fanbase forfeits any claim to the 1997 MNC until their team wins again.

I was pretty young in 97', albeit I remember much of this championship team (i.e. Nebraska won AP by, what, two votes?), but will someone enlighten me in regards to the Heisman race that year? Was Peyton considered to be "more deserving" at the time?

is still my all-time Michigan Stadium memory. One heck of game and such a nerver racking one with everything that was at stake.
The celebration at the end was just awesome.
