Up 63-13 Wisconsin kicks a FG

Not something I would ever expect out of Wisconsin.  You would think they just run into the line and give IU the chance to stop them.

Well, they did go for 2 up

Well, they did go for 2 up 41-16 against Minnesota earlier this season. So no, this isn't that surprising.

I wouldn't be upset at all if RR went for 2 every time we scored against OSU, and not just because our kickers are only slightly more likely to score, even if by some act of god we're up 1000 points.

Brett Bielema

Brett Bielema is an asshole.  Word on UW campus is that he picks up undergrads at the bar every weekend.  Not on topic, but generally contributing to the broader point.

I have a friend who works for a paper near madison and he told me that before the season started that bielema was going to AA meetings and that he was caught picking up young women alot.

I have a relative who recently crawled out of the bottle and all the unhappiness in her life has percolated out, making her pretty much a complete bitch on steroids.

I would be unsurprised if Bielema's kicking the sauce has ratcheted up the prickishness he already exuded.

Bielema has been an ass before, but this season he definitely has kicked it up a notch.  Would be nice to drop him at home next week.

ehh

Guess I just have a different opinion of sportsmanship, especially when playing in the conference.  I would have thought of it as being a good time to practice the crazy play that you have to try and get 4th and forever.

Ehhh....

And what happens when they score on that crazy play? People would be in even more of an uproar. I don't have a problem with it at all, you don't go out there and try to keep the game as close as possible you go out there to win, whatever it takes within the rules.

With the BCS championship and all, and with Wiscosin ranked

#6, they do have an outside shot at getting into th championship game.   All it takes is impressing some more voters and a few teams to get knocked off.  Spurrier did as much at Florida.  Given the situation and circumstances, I understand it.

"I can't coach my offense and your defense at the same time"

I haven't always responded well as a coach when this stuff happens, but what do you want a team to do when they are in FG range and it's 4th down?

Teams work on stuff all week, including special teams. They have an opportunity to work on it and maybe they were working on getting the kick off in 'x' amount of time.

Bielema may be less than a gentlemen, but this is a non issue. The 17 pts after the FG may have more weight for an argument than the FG.

Surprised?

Not something you'd expect out of Wisconsin?  Bielema is a tool.

I've known that ever since he saw nothing wrong with one of his players practically ripping Steve Breaston's leg off in 2006.

Wiscy scored on every offensive possession

10 TDs & 2 FGs in 12 possessions.

Plus they added a pick-six on defense.

Say what you want about the a-hole, but that's impressive.
