6 spots left....

I think 20 will be the limit for this class..and I'm starting to think we just might get there. Right now we have:

RB Hayes
OL Miller
OL Posada
DT Rock
DE Heitzman
LB Beyer
LB Jones
LB Morgan
CB Countess (likely)
CB Hollowell
CB Taylor
FS Carter
S Brown
K Wiles

That leaves us with 6 to give out. Realistic possibilities are:
RB Rawls
WR Flowers
TE Barnett
OL Fisher
OL Bryant
DE Alexander
LB Clark
LB Willingham
LB Poole
CB McClure
FS Raven

And that is not including any QBs or DT's, both of which appear to be positions of need. So which 6 would you take, and which 6 appear most likely?

Word is that Michigan has pulled out of the race to sign Hakeem Flowers, so don't get your hopes up tomorrow. Hoke probably doesn't want to take a WR in the 6 remaining spaces.

Earlier TomVH said he wasn't hopeful for Flowers' announcement, this is why!!

Were we able to back date the early enrollee?  I'd imagine there was room in last years class since Dorsey never made it in.  I don't know all the specifics with how back dating early enrollees goes though.  Someone else might.

EDIT - The cold medicine must be kicking in.  The back dating wouldn't help this year, we clearly don't have room to take a full class, given the 85 scholarship limit.

We need to sign 2 QB's, cause we are in bad shape at this position,1 RB with size and durability, OL for safe sake and 2 LB's cause we need to get back to the basics of the of teams feeling the heat of our MICHIGAN LB's.

what are the chances on bringing Justin Turner back. he enrolled at Notre Dame of Ohio at  this point.  It would be nice to have him back, especially in a new system with new coaches.

Maybe Hoke will give him a call this summer

like to see Zettel back in the "possible" column.  It is only a 2 hour drive up I-75.  I watched him play this year.  This guy is a beast.  I would think Denard would make the trip to ask Zettel to personally protect him on the field.  Maybe Joe Pa has some magic left.

That would be ideal.  I understand why that list is who's realistic, but why don't we just full-court press on the best available guys at our needed positions?  I mean, offer a few of the remaining 4 and 5 stars as well as the realistic 3 stars?  QB is the one position I'd be happy to settle for a 3 star...we just need a third body out there, at least with a redshirt on.

Rawls is a plucky kid and I'd be happy to have him, but RB is hardly our area of need.  Guess we could redshirt either him or Justice, or both, and stack up for the future.  But still...I'd be more excited if we went after the positions we sorely need.  We're full of CBs and RBs.
