And if all that doesn't scare you off, Jed Thompson's friend discovered how difficult it is to get the yard-line paint off her back. She went home that night with a white stripe on her spine just like the female lead in a Pepe LePew cartoon.

A much classier take on the old "tramp stamp".

the big house when empty is really a sight to behold. I've been there with a tour group and I have to say that going down to Row A with no one else in the stadium that there is an eerily peace and calm to the world and everything seems right.
(No going really early to game-day doesn't count)

is incredible. The even white blanketing the stadium, and the hushed quiet of the snow make it an incredible sight. You almost always have the place to yourself too.
I can't wait til the renovations are done so I can get back in anytime.

Waking up on one of the stadium shitters at 2 AM with a hangover and your legs paralyzed from loss of blood is pretty eerie as well.

People would line up single file at the fifty and wait their turn to "commemorate the occasion". Can any older alums verify this?

Became a member of the 40 yard line club a Texas Stadium on a great night 1981 - yes I'm old.
I l-o-v-e-d my summer at UT!
I smile whenever I see a Texas home game.

I hope to make my way to the 50 in the next few years. Hopefully none of you will already be there.
