Apparently he hasn't even been in contact with the coaches yet, so it's still way too early to get your hopes up. That having been said, this is only good news!

but I am excited that we have a program again that brings the Peppers, Hands and Fournettes to campus.  It would be beyond fortunate to get Fournette.

I'm not sure we really had visitors of this caliber during the richrod years. If Fournette comes on campus, that will have meant we'd have the #1, #2, and #3 overall plyers (per 247 comp) this year. I think it's big just to be a place where top talent checks out because you're gonna get a few of those guys (Green, Peppers, etc)

I remember, not too long ago, we would go to the dance and make eye contact with a lass then should would dance with some other fella. Now we get a dance and get the digits afterwards.

Has he actually released a "list"? I know LSU and bama are pretty much 1 and 1a, but is there any other serious competition for his services at this point?

He always says that he's wide open in interviews, no "official" top X list or anything like that. He's also taken a liking to USC recently, he stopped in LA before The Opening (I think for a 7on7 comp, but not 100% sure) and says he wants to come back for an official.

There is a short article from the other day which quotes Fournette on the situation (HERE). 

"I haven't scheduled any official visits just yet. I might try and go up and visit Michigan though. I want to check them out and see everything there."

It also mentions that, as far as 247Sports knows anyway, he plans to make a decision after this coming season.

I'm surprised this is just getting out there now, I read an article about this two weeks ago that was not pay walled but I don't have enough points to post. He basically said the Peppers commitment caught his eye and he wants to check out whats going on at Michigan.
