Texas should have seen this coming when the player's name is A'Shawn. Maybe they will have better luck with players named Tee or T'Kevian.

I think B'Shawn is a Boise State lean, and D'Shawn is also 5-star hoops recruit likely to sign with Duke.  Now T'Shawn, on the other hand...

(Hopefully there is also an AA'Shawn).

Even if Texas fires Mack Brown after this year, it won't take long for them to get back. They have the money to hire whoever they want, and there's still a lot of elite recruits in that state who grew up dreaming to play for UT.

But if they have another mediocre year, and especially one where they get manhandled by Oklahoma again, I don't think they can afford to wait around much longer to make a move. UT are undoubtedly impatient, and A&M is quickly staking its claim for in-state talent.

Is Bama's run ever going to end? Seriously!  Saban not bolting to the NFL after 3 championships in 4 years leads me to believe he will finish his career at Alabama.  Kirby Smart could of probably had his pick of college head coaching jobs or NFL defensive coordinator jobs yet he stays at Alabama.  It seems if he is being groomed to be Saban's replacement.  The real question is how many more championships does Alabama win in the next 5 years?  I will say 3.

Can do the same thing at Texas at USC. Nick Saban doesn't stay forever anywhere...he'll go somewhere soon, Texas is a big time program that will have an opening soon, tons of talent in Texas and they can offer mucho money. USC? I don't think I need to say anymore. Saban will eventually leve Bama, he will want one other challenge. I think the NFL for a team that is close is probably the best bet, who knows though, the NFL didnt seem to be to his liking last time though, hence Texas or USC possibly.

Follow Saban, it's not like Alabama itself brings in great players. My point is at some point he's going to get tired of Bama and if he wants to stay in college, I could see him being interested in Texas or USC because they are storied programs that could be fixed quick but need a little life currently.

If Saban ever leaves Bama it'll be for the NFL, and even then, it'd need to be for a top-flight organization like the Packers or the Pats. I wouldn't be shocked if Belichek asks Saban to take over whenever he decides to retire.

Why would Saban ever leave leave Bama for another school? He's built one of the greatest football dynasties ever and has his pick of the litter as far as recruits go. Besides, any school that could pay Saban what he'd want, Bama would match. It's not like that school would want to invest in much else.

Saban isn't going to jump ship like that. If he ever leaves Alabama (which is very likely in the next year or two, imo) he is going to the NFL. Then, when he flames out again, he might go to Texas.

No one knows what Poggi is considering. The latest thing to pop up on the Bama boards was that Poggi was offered a grey-shirt and would get a full scholly if Bama doesn't get their #1 targets. The Poggi's haven't commented on anything so no one really knows what he's actually thinking of doing.

If the coaches don't Perdue him, it's either because they feel our LB situation is fine how it is, or they're avoiding the whole drama situation around him. Plus, doesn't UM not have his desired major?

Bama pulls top 3 classes basically every year.

Saban grinds to assemble great classes against some tough (and dubious) programs and sells the "play in the biggest games and become NFL ready".

I don't want him at UM, but his recruiting and winning dynasty is impressive.

I thought this kid was going to play OT at UT?  Are we sure he’s going to play DE at Bama?

Also I thought Bama was recruiting Poggi to play H Back/ TE?  Saban’s two gap 3-4 would be a horrible fit for him.  He’s a one gap player.
