We've gone from 28 bowl games to 40 bowl games in 9 years. 80 teams will now play in bowl games. Jesus Christ make it stop!

...but they should play the bottom 20 bowls...now. I don't care if you've lost seniors and don't have freshman.
Play them now and give me something to watch this time of year.
I bet they'd get more viewers too...
Rather than play a spring game, but fill the bottom 20 bowls after the regular season and just play them in April.
Who cares about anything else, this is about what is best for ME.
I don't want to watch a shit bowl bowl in December, but I'll damn sure take it in April. Let's spread the wealth. You're more likely to have better weather too.
I watching Michigan/OSU '97 on ESPN Classic TWICE today. That's how bad I want college football. I didn't even know I still had ESPN Classic and saw that The Game was on and accidently turned to it twice and each time ended up watching the remainder of the game.
Make it happen NCAA.

The cheerleaders have a corn dog swallowing contest at half-time, and spectators are encouraged to join in the fun up in the stands.

College football sucks now. Why do any of us even deny it anymore?

Agreed. I'm a fan of anything I can look forward to watching on a Tuesday night in mid-December
College football is my favorite sport to watch, and it's not even close. I will watch Harvard and Yale if that's the only game on. No, an extra bowl doesn't piss me off one bit.
I'm still trying to figure out how there was any advantage at all to Michigan in this last bowl? They win, and they beat a pathetic K state team. They lose and they lose to a pathetic K State team. Did I sum that up correctly? Now throw in a loss of money and it's just an awful situation.
