#4 Washington - #1 Bama Open Thread

Submitted by NJblue2 on

Figured I start one for this game. Rooting for Washington and Clemson today, but obviously will probably be disappointed.

Go Huskies.

Well, Alabama is trying to make sure that Washington understands that their first TD was essentially a form of trolling, if this drive by Alabama is any indication, especially if Washington is going to be that unable to stop Bo Scarborough for the rest of the game.

When Bredeson is a senior. Ruiz is a junior. We've got Leon-Herbert or Filiaga as a junior. Some 5* OT we'll get next year. Plus one more from this class, or last year. We'll finally be able to do the same.

Don't have it now. Braden is a guard, Newsome was our best shot at tackle. Cole can play C but needs another year. Kalis has never had it click and stay clicked. Magnuson is a jumbo TE who plays his ass off but just doesn't have that size, strength, Bama type country strong that knocks people off the ball.

I'm actually surprised we never put Mags at LT and tried Braden or Bredeson at RT.

Bredeson was a nice start but Ruiz, IMO is the first Bama type OL.

7 years. The norm is not 2-3 years. Maybe that is the norm to turn a program into a competitive one which I think Harbaugh has done a damn good job of doing. More than anything after a loss, I hate the irrational fans that just throw out bs statements that are based off the minority instead of the majority.

I remember watching Huckleby and others running behind our lines in the late 70s. From my underclassmen seats in the end zone we could see the o line just make this big V, pushing to the right this time, to the left the next. The RBs and Rick Leach could just run into the 5-7 yards of space created by the line and pick up that much yardage on every play. It was amazing to see and made it very obvious just what a good line can do for a team.

is like a semi-pro team.  It's absurd.  They have prototype players at every position.  They just look bigger and faster ....I really hope Harbaugh gets us close to that - OSU is headed that way too the way they've been recruiting.

Peterson will need to coach a masterpiece here to pull this off.

What the hell are they doing to coach RBs at Bama?? When they take the first hit it's like watching someone get hit by a wave in the water.  They just slow down for a second and then keep moving.  Don't even get knocked off balance.
