I've only heard talk of Alabama, Oklahoma and Indiana. However, it's common knowledge that Gunner has been keeping his recruiting pretty well under the radar, so I don't know where these sites are getting this from.

I would assume that Indiana would benefit most from this commit, because it was widely assumed that Gunner was Oklahoma's to lose.

I don't think the commitment of a 4* affects the decision making process of a guy like Keil.

It may, however, indicate that Oklahoma realized they're out of the running for Keil so they went with Knight instead.

Word.

I would bet it's Alabama or Indiana at this point, could go either way.  I don't think he ends up here.

Granted he's played things close to the vest, but, we've heard absolutely nothing relative to him considering M, whereas there's at least been rumblings relative to Indiana and Alabama.  I wouldn't be surprised at this point if he ended up at Indiana which would be a major coup for them.

2012 recruit at QB, we have too much depth and they're gonna be pushed by Shane morris whos coming in 2013. I think that why its gonna be tough to land someone like Gunner. I think we have a great shot with Devin Fuller though.

You want to say absolutely no chance he winds up here, but then you do the math. OU is probably out after today. Mizzou signed Mauk, so they're probably out. Rumor around the Bama boards, is that he has kind of soured on them. So, out of his reported top 4, that leaves us. I mean, does he really go to IU? It doesnt make a bit of sense, but we have to be up close to the top now. That being said however, I think the Irish come away with Gunner, makes too much sense.

are saying he doesnt wanna go to IU because his older brother goes there. He would have to beat his own brother for the starting job (pretty bitch lol). I honestly think michigan has a decent shot.

I honestly will be surprised if he doesn't choose Indiana or ND. Whenever Gunner talks about his recruitment, he always brings up the proximity to home issue. It sounds like he doesn't want to go too far away. However, Michigan isn't exactly that far away either, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I think far too many people are discounting Indiana simply because it's Indiana. He keeps his recruitment quiet but the only school that seems to be trending upward in rumours and not taking QBs is Indiana. Way too many things going for them not to be considered.

Didn't Indiana just pick up Oklahoma's offensive coordinator as their new head coach. I have heard there are positive things happening there and some upward momentum. Granted that tends to happen with Indiana and then it fizzles out. I believe Gunnar liked Oklahoma's offense, which makes Indiana more attractive also. Although it would suck to see him all of the time, I kind of hope he chooses Indiana (if he isn't going to choose us). Also, it is dumb to discount a QB of his qualiber. Even with Morris on for nect year, it would have been awesome to pull in the top-ranked prostyle QB, which as Magnus pointed out earlier in the year, the top ranked prostyle QB by rivals has generally had a lot of success.

I think a guy named Gunner would feel at home at Wiscy, where he could eventually attend  Law School classes at the Remington Center.

I agree with BRCE.  I just never got a good feeling about Kiel's interest in us and Fuller being the athlete he is could help us tremendously in other ways.  I could be wrong and this is no slam on his ability, just never got a good feeling.

meat market media...speculation.  It's going to be interesting where he goes.  Indiana is a good school with a new coach.  They have certainly played us close recently.  He would be a great addition at Michigan.  We've had good QB competition before...there's plenty of opportunity for someone with Kiel's talent.

I don't know where all the spots are coming from...but bring it on.

i think hes going to indiana, he has had family that has went there and the former offensive cordinatoor of oklahoma ia now coach there so its hard for me to believe hes not going there and he could bring some good talent to that program along with him

Definitely leaning to Fuller as the option. Would like to see a player of his versatility in the fold. Also like the security of knowing another qb is in the system, but have the freedom to slide his athleticism to another position down the road if the guys ahead of him remain healthy.
I know it would be alot of IF's, but I get cold sweats thinking about a qb depth issue again. We are fully aware of qb's getting dinged. 2007 cannot happen again- Threet/Sheridan were as tough to watch at times as our defense IMO.

It's JULY!  My ass has a rash I can barely breath and my dog refuses to go outside July.  We are one recruit away from the greatest O-Line haul in the history of Michigan.  We are on the precipice of signing a 5* running back to compliment the offense and we have yet to play a down of football under our new coach.

So much left to be revealed to the young Jedi.

Let the wine breathe.

Predicting where Keil goes at this point is just folly.  Michigan, ND, Oklahoma, Bama and IU (IU in this sentence???) are all prospects and hardly suspects at this point.

My OU contact told me it is pretty common knowledge that he told OU it's a definite no. The scuttle they hear is Indiana and Alabama with Indiana leading.  That one would add a new dimension to Michigan State's guaranteed cross over win they were counting on every season.
