4* OL Sam Madden de-commits from Wisconsin

Why is this significant? Well his crystal ball immediately had 3 predictions (including a Wisconsin insider) in favor of Michigan...

Not to be a wet blanket but according to a Milwaukee paper the decommit is because he can't pass UW admissions. Could just be sour grapes and bad info but if true I doubt he get by UM admissions.

Poor grammar, no source?

Madison – Sam Madden, a touted offensive lineman from Barnegat, N.J., who gave Wisconsin an oral commitment in June and recently told the Journal Sentinel he was excited about working with head coach Paul Chryst and offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Joe Rudolph, no longer is a member of UW's 2015 class.

Madden announced via Twitter Saturday he had de-committed from UW. He initially committed to UW when Gary Andersen was head coach.

However, a source with knowledge of the recruiting process noted it appeared Madden likely wouldn’t be able to pass UW’s admission standards.

Why is this board acting like he commited to Michigan? Can we back off a little, this is too much.

He has a somewhat lengthy offer list - in the Big Ten, at least insofar as what is listed now, he has one from Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers and of course Wisconsin. In addition, it lists offers from Boston College, Pitt, South Carolina, Virginia, Louisville, West Virginia, Miami (YTM) and several others.

I can't tell if this is a sarcastic remark to the post you are replying to suggesting that we have "only 6" commits and are not in a position to turn a recruit of his caliber down or if you are agreeing with it and saying that he isn't a good prospect.

345lbs in high school is easy to get away with. If this kid wants to play at UM he will have to lose the unhealthy weight, and slowly add healthy weight to his already massive frame. The kid has potential, we shall see.

If Wisconsin sees potential in him as an O-Lineman, that's good enough for me.

Don't know what it is about that program, but they can develop talent with linemen and running backs with the best of them.

You'd think with Chryst back at Wisconsin that Wisconsin would appeal to 6'7" 345 lb OT's even more, as Christ is as Wisconsin as Wisconsin Wisconsin's Wisconsin.

He'd look good in a 5XL Blue 77 though.

I guess I had a double post.  Must be due to one post not covering the planet-sized load we assume will be on his way to AA, despite his possibly not being able to make the admissions at Wisconsin.  Oh well.

Dear Mt. Madden,

Please don't go to any school that has "State" as part of its name.  They get drunk & go tipping things your size as some strange sort of entertainment at those places.

Initial Harbaugh OL recruits at Stanford include David DeCastro and Jonathan Martin, both in the 6'5, 280-285 lb. range.  After seeing how Chris Fox "developed," I'm anxious for kids that big coming out of high school.

He’s a free agent,” Barnegat head coach Rob Davis said. “Numerous colleges have already contacted me.”

The 247Sports Crystal Ball already has a couple forecasts in for Michigan, but Davis said he has not heard from the Wolverines staff.

Davis said to expect more details are expected in the near future.

Madden is ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 23 offensive tackle and No. 6 prospect overall in the state of New Jersey. He is the nation’s No. 215 prospect.
