My twenties are nearly gone as well. There also seems to be a direct correlation between that and the hair on my scalp reducing as age increases. Chart anyone?
December 7th, 2010 at 4:25 PM ^
I'm 32 and set aside time to play. It's during our "quiet" time. She reads her stupid Twilight books and I blow people up! Of course, I have no kids to tend to....
December 7th, 2010 at 8:28 PM ^
Hahah, anytime you can slip in a "neener neener", you have officially made my day.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:35 PM ^
is a step back from MW2. Graphics and gameplay wise.
I still play it though.
December 7th, 2010 at 4:13 PM ^
I disagree, less stupid little kids online (for now at least, until they get it for Christmas) and the graphics "look" worse because it is a darker colored game, the gaming / graphics engine is the same from MW 2. I know I am a bit of a video game nerd but whatcha gonna do?
December 7th, 2010 at 4:15 PM ^
Not at all... I am 37 and that game is my list as well.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:17 PM ^
With Denard, Tate, and Devin it wouldn't be bad to hold off on signing a QB for this class. And poss sign two for next years recruiting class. However Rich Rod is one that likes to have his quarterback position filled with depth
December 7th, 2010 at 2:21 PM ^
6'3", 185?
Teddy, do me two favors. First, commit to Michigan. Then read this:
December 7th, 2010 at 2:33 PM ^
Heck, I'd even settle for those favors in the opposite order.
December 7th, 2010 at 4:04 PM ^
FWIW, "hamburger sandwich" sounds extremely weird and redundant.
December 7th, 2010 at 6:18 PM ^
Delicious...
December 7th, 2010 at 2:26 PM ^
QB Denard Robinson - Jr.
QB Tate Forcier - Jr.
QB Devin Gardner - So. (RS Fr.?)
QB Teddy Bridgewater.
The series is therefore D, T, D, T.
The 2011 Quarterback must therefore have a first name starting with the letter D.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:07 PM ^
But.... What If I wanted an actual DT?
December 7th, 2010 at 4:31 PM ^
December 7th, 2010 at 2:42 PM ^
When you post a tired, grammatically incorrect meme which adds absolutely no value on a recruiting thread.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:12 PM ^
No Fun League
December 7th, 2010 at 3:29 PM ^
Maybe so, but how pissed would you be if you cracked open a fortune cookie and got a fortune that read as the above?
December 7th, 2010 at 7:33 PM ^
I would keep it forever.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:34 PM ^
Correct... Very "Meh" by me. But ironically "Meh" is just how I felt knowing that there was a good quarterback that we really dont have a shot at. You know, Meh-be that changes but in the mean time, I will continue to shrug my shoulders and say meh...
December 7th, 2010 at 2:27 PM ^
Big IF I know
Due to the coaching/non coaching change.
We could be looking at two years of what if Denard or Forcier doesn't hold up and then we are one big injury on Gardner to absolute Panic. Two years because if one transfers, in 2011, you are looking at best starter, Gardner, true frosh.
And if you don't take one until 2012, in 2012 you are looking at Starter/Gardner/ True Frosh.
Not very palatable
Grab one now, Troy Smith was an afterthought at QB, it does work out sometimes even for the dark side.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:27 PM ^
is sign him then ride out the 5 game suspension like that one poster wants to do to recruits that decommit.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:07 PM ^
that was me!! :)
a suspension may have been a little harsh... i can admit that.
regardless, this wouldn't fit the category because of the coaching change you sillynanny!
kind of a stupid OP i started, wasn't it?
December 7th, 2010 at 3:32 PM ^
i actually lost close to 250 mgopoints with that post and all of my replies...
looks like santa can't afford to come to my house this year :(
December 7th, 2010 at 3:42 PM ^
This holiday season, if you find yourself able to give, please give to the needy. In the spirit of this time of giving, I hereby award you 1 MGoPoint.
(Question: Are MGoPoint donations tax deductible?)
December 7th, 2010 at 4:16 PM ^
Good question, when I get my taxes done this next year I'll ask my accountant. He will probably look at me like I'm an idiot, but it may be worth the extra kick back from the government if they are.
December 7th, 2010 at 5:00 PM ^
Our government is extremely misguided when it values the purchase of a hybrid car (=tax credit) over the donation of MGoPoints to a needy MGoPerson. Amend the tax code!
December 7th, 2010 at 2:28 PM ^
he'd be great obvs, but he's unlikely to leave the south.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:37 PM ^
I just saw this on ESPN too. I also noticed that in the section called On The Trail recruiting on ESPN's recruiting webpage, all 4 of the current entries are decommits. This section is used to cover committments, decommittments and which way a prospect is leaning. Must be a sign of the times if the 4 most recent/important things to cover are decommittments.
December 7th, 2010 at 2:38 PM ^
Bridgewater does not want to play QB in a spread offense. Nothing to see here.
December 7th, 2010 at 4:06 PM ^
Barry Goldwater?
December 7th, 2010 at 3:00 PM ^
can he play DB?
December 7th, 2010 at 3:03 PM ^
I don't think Michigan is going to get a highly touted recruit in this class, not unless all Hell breaks loose and the top couple guys transfer. Recruits know that Denard, Tate, and Devin would be ahead of them on the depth chart. If we get a QB this class - and we probably will - then it will be a developmental guy, not a star.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:04 PM ^
highly touted QB recruit? Or highly touted recruit in general?
December 7th, 2010 at 3:10 PM ^
I believe he means QB. At least I hope that's what he means.
Please, let that be what you mean Magnus.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:25 PM ^
Yeah, I meant a highly touted QB recruit. Sorry for the mixup.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:04 PM ^
Louisville (??) is the team to beat
December 7th, 2010 at 3:20 PM ^
Huh. It must be 2006.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:07 PM ^
Add it to the list of reasons why Randy Shannon could be good for Michigan.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:26 PM ^
If Tate leaves, we'd definitely need to bring in a qb in this class. Otherwise, we've only got two viable options.
If Tate stays, they should take a qb only if he's a killer prospect like Bridgewater. We don't have a boatload of slots left. And we need as many D recruits as possible.
With Denard, Tate, and DG, we'd be secure for the next two seasons. An incoming qb would be unlikely to compete for PT until 2013. If we land a nice one next year, he'll be right on schedule.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:32 PM ^
I really don't see Tate going anywhere, unless RR is fired. Also, I think we are set on slots for now, especially with Hayes coming in. Tim mentioned that Bridgewater does not want to be in a spread offense, so who knows. A QB would be important to get in each class, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if we miss out this year. However, like Magnus said above, getting a QB in each class is most likely to happen with RR as the coach.
December 7th, 2010 at 4:47 PM ^
The answer may be that I am a slow adult, but why are we still talking about Tate leaving (assuming that Rodriguez is not leaving)? Is there still talk that he may transfer? I thought he nipped it in the bud weeks ago. No?
December 7th, 2010 at 3:34 PM ^
but wasnt the qb that was set to take over henne frosh year wasnt his name Matt Gutierrez not Gonzalez?
December 7th, 2010 at 3:42 PM ^
one more slot for a defender who helps us to an NC in Jan 2013.
December 7th, 2010 at 3:46 PM ^
Well, you're probably wrong. Rodriguez has said that he wants 5 or 6 scholarship quarterbacks on the roster at all times, and right now we have 3. So you should probably expect Michigan to get - or at least try to get - another QB in the fold by February.
December 7th, 2010 at 4:58 PM ^
It's probably safe to believe that the coaches know they need help on the defensive side of the ball - this year made it painfully obvious - and it's been a focus of recruiting so far. So I think the token comment on all recruiting threads of "maybe he can cover" or "hope he can tackle" or "let's pray he plays defense" or some other manifestation of that thought is probably unnecessary at this point. See also: any comments made about all recruits from this point forward needing to kick.
Also, I agree with Magnus.
December 7th, 2010 at 5:03 PM ^
learn from the Three/Sheridan year about the importance of QB Depth? We have 3 QBs, two will graduate at the same time. We have Gardner who has potential but is not proven. Id rather take a QB this year. RS him. Then skip next year or take a more of a project type next year.
I think we should be taking a QB every year until Tate and Denard graduate. There is always the option of Denard going pro after his junior year. Yes he will probably not translate into QB at the next level but he is such a great player he could easily go high in the draft with a heisman like year.
Tate is saying the right things but there are no guarantees there. I think we need one every year for the forceeable future. As it stands now you will have
2011:
JR, JR, RSFrosh
2012:
SR, SR, RS Soph
2013:
RSJR, young guys again
December 7th, 2010 at 5:23 PM ^
maybe Dallas Crawford can work some magic. Teddy goes blue, then Sammy follows suit.
