Once we get to October 14th, 2011 (day before the football game at State) there will have been 370 days since the last time Michigan State has beaten Michigan in basketball or football.
need to count days to show superiority against MSU... or anyone for that matter; having a superior record should speak for itself. Michigan's rivals have to count days since their last loss against Michigan since that makes each win mean more to them, since Michigan is their measuring stick.
Also, MSU hasn't beaten Michigan in a Men's football or basketball team since October, which is much more than 37 days. By my count, it's been 147 days.

i'm surprised you of all people would begin critiquing the quality of content. the day counting is the schadenfreude of mockery. it means that michigan has the offseason upperhand. it's also been commented on... twice? and both times immediately following wins over MSU. i'd say it's not even remotely overplayed or sad when embraced as a demonstration of karma.
