30,000th point

Submitted by Sambojangles on

I just saw that Michigan is likely to score the 30,000th point in its history during the UConn opener. According to the comments section from the "Rodriguez waters the turf" article linked on MGoLicious, we stand at 29,998. With any luck, we'll start the game with a safety and get to 30,000 evenly.

I did a quick Google search and could not independently verify the total points number, and with over a thousand games played, it is probably not exactly accurate, but I'm gonna go with it anyway.

Does anyone know if we are the highest scoring team in history? I rather doubt it, since we historically did not win with stupefying offenses, but it would be interesting to know.

Likely??  If we don't get to the 30,000th point against Uconn, there will one big broken TV in my livingroom and I'll have to get out the sackcloth again.

Actually he just said we would hit 31k against OSU, but what he didn't say was that we would actually hang 124 on them, so by the end of the OSU game, our ppg will be a little above 83.5

Let's just win the game.  I'll pay more attention to point  number 40,000, which will come after we've won so many national titles that we'll need new challenges.
