3 Year Old Sings Hail the Victors
My 3 year old daughter was supposed to be going to sleep. We caught her singing her version of 'Hail the Victors'. Couldn't think of a reason not to post it on MGoBlog.

I told my daughter that the bar has been set for my grandchildren. (She's only 14, but I figured I might as well let my expectations known early.) Also, thanks for letting it run until she got to "Champions of the West." Admitedly, it was driving me crazy :)

It doesn't matter what song my kids start singing, it always ends with 'champions of the west'

"There was a farmer, had a dog
And Bingo was his name-o
B-I-N-G-O, B-I-N-G-O, B-I-N-G-O
Champions Of The West!"
I like it.

what happened to maize-and-blue Rainbow Dash?
December 11th, 2011 at 6:24 PM ^
....but the other avatar is also Rainbow Dash. I simply haven't Michigan-ized her yet.

fair enough. Haha that was nice of you to change it back, but my only dismay was that Dash was no longer maize-and-blue; the new one looks fine too if Michigan-ification is pending.

What kind of person would neg this?

I know, right?!

I long suspected Tressel reads MGoBlog. Now, we have proof.

Raised her right!!

The people that negged this probably are jealous because a 3 year old can sing The Victors from under a sheet while laying down on a bed better than they can as adults.

Speaking of kids, one of my proudest moments as a father. My one year old daughter went to her bookshelf, picked out her "Learning about Michigan" book and brought it to me to read it to her. Classic!

I can't wait for a grandchild to teach Victors to. My daughter, wise woman that she is, married a UM grad. Now I'm just waiting for the pitter-patter of little Michigan Man and Woman feet.

What a Walmart Wolverine!1 I doubt she even attended michigan.

I sing 'The Victors' to my 19 month old every night that I put her to sleep. Lately, she's been chiming in with 'Hail' in all the right spots. Brings a tear to a father's eye.

And for that, she can stay up an extra hour!

3 hours is a bit much!
Hmm wonder why the comment I responded to is missing while viewing in my phones browser. It is still there when using the Droid app. Looking here my comment seems strange.

That's awesome.

Maybe if I had taught my daughter "The Victors" when she was three she would have been a Wolverine instead of a Spartan!

Way to get her started early!

I started my daughter on the victors right before she was 3 also... I remember her damn near screaming / singing it as we were shopping at target. Keep in mind that we live in CA and nobody knew what the hell she was singing... Now she is 4 and has a crush on Zack Novack lol

that their children will produce such sweet singing. I have my first kid on the way in 5 short weeks and if and when something like this happens it will be on this site for sure.
