3 Things To Do Tomorrow

Submitted by PeterKlima on
I can't go to the game tomorrow. My wife is nine months pregnant and I have been informed that it is "not good form" to leave her vicinity at this time. But, if you are going to the game, try to do these 3 things: 1. Help out the team and RR by showing up to the Victors Walk before the game. Show the team you support them by supporting a tradition brought (back?) by RR. (HT: Rick Leach) 2. Support the Michigan economy. Try to tailgate (or celebrate at home) with Bell's Beer, Better Maid chips,... But, maybe get them someplace other than Kroger, which is a big Freep advertiser. 3. Be friendly to WMU fans. Let's show everyone that even after the indignity we faced as fans, we have not sunk to OSU's level. Even in our hard times, we are still the best fanbase in the world. Go Blue!

1) Wake up and quit drinking for the 39,891st time. 2) Take a fire extinguisher, put in mouth, and extinguish the forest fire in my throat and lungs that resulted from the "I only smoke (100,000 more cigarettes) when I drink" pick up line at the bar. 3) Grab a beer and light a smoke.

1. Arrive to stadium 2. Wear press pass 3. Shoot photos of game on the field I rest my case. As for wife being pregnant... I was once at a Detroit Kittycat's game (not my fault, free tix) when they were still in the P-dome. Just before kickoff an announcement was made over the PA that called out a guy in the crowd (by name) to, "Call home. Your wife is having your baby!" That produced the biggest roar of the day. NOT KIDDING! I figured that was the best thing I will ever witness at a D.L. game and have never been back since. Damn good thing too. I do wonder why you, PeterK, didn't adhere to the football fan's code of responsibility: Plan for February or March birth so that football season AND spring game are available! Do better next time then we won't have to have this discussion.

"1) Wake up 2) Put on a my maize UM shirt 3) Wait until 3:30pm " I hate waiting for the game to start, so I am getting out of bed at about 2 o'clock. Shower, "breakfast," walk to the stadium just in time for "GOOD AFTERNOON..."

My spouse ordered me a nice, new Michigan golf shirt for my birthday (which was 2 weeks ago). She ordered it a week ahead of time, using the 20% coupon that came with our season tickets. My birthday came and went. No shirt. She e-mailed twice. Called them. FINALLY, they sent her an e-mail earlier this week, saying they were committed to customer service and were looking to her issue blah blah blah. Still no shirt. Eff 'em. I'm going with my Minor Rage jersey. Who cares that it's blue and it will be 80 degrees out (about 95 in La Casa Grande).

1) Roll out of the rack a little "dry". 2) Check the "write-up" of my high school team in the paper from the previous night. 3) Put in the Michigan Marching Band CD and stare at the wall until gametime.

1.) get up with twin two year old daughters, have breakfast, then turn them over to grandparents for the rest of the day. 2.) Drink Oberon, just enough, not too much. 3.) Walk to game with big shit-eating grin on my face. By the way, I agree with OPs list too.

Well PeterKlima, my name is Peter and my wife is also very pregnant. In fact her due date was yesterday. It is our first born, so it is pretty awesome being able to look forward to the first game of the season and the birth of my first child in the same week. Hard to imagine a better week, really. I too love Bell's beer. How many am I allowed to drink in one sitting now that she is past her due date? I do have to drive her to the hospital...

Well, maybe not. Anyway, congratulations! I know the anxious feeling of both a new baby and a new QB. Its pretty exciting. As for how many beers.... that's a tough one.... I leave that to your discretion.

to get to the hospital. Isn't it tradition that a pregnant woman be taken to the hospital via TAXI? Another more inventive way is if you have AAA just tell them to tow you there. Imagine that kind of story: "New baby, Bo, is first delivered by tow truck then by Dr. Smith as Forcier runs in the winning TD to propel M past WMU." This is when PTMAC hands out cigars.

Unfortunately, I have to work. I did, however, get some poor schmo to take over for me at noon (short shift now, 8-12). 1. Talk only Michigan with a Michigan-loving co-worker/read the paper (GR Press only) at work. 2. Drive to the bro's and toss a ball/pretend to be Tate until my arm is sore. 3. Strike up his surround sound and pair of 37" Vizios in crystal clear U-Verse and watch Big Blue roll WMU convincingly.

The GR Press is a complete rag. Just sayin'. Without me starting a new thread, does anyone know what time the victors walk is? 2 and 230 are what I've heard but I'm not sure I believe it.

You're probably right. I don't keep up much on it because I can't stand Tom Kowalski and Bill Simonson (Huge) who has a weekly section, but a couple of the other sportswriters are okay. It's the only paper we get (I work at a gas station) that isn't the Freep and will talk about Michigan consistently so...gotta do it.

1.) Put the Home Jersey on me and then get my 3 yr. old up and into her home jersey. (If the wife hasn't already done it.) 2.) Visit Grandma and Grandpa 'til about 1 PM. 3.) Fire up the grill, crack a beer and dig through all the shit in the garage to find the cable cord to plug in the TV outside.

1). Wake up, watch GameDay, choose jersey (I like the idea of the #4 which is one of my options, could also go with #1, #7, or #10 Brady), put on MGoMix 2009 on iPod, pick up college roommate, have Polish Omelette for breakfast, drive to Ann Arbor. 2). Walk down South University to Hoover to Greene to my tailgate. Present tailgating courtesy gift to hosts, head into game at 2:30. 3). Take a metric ass-load of pictures, and hope that the third time is the charm, drive home happy and watch Bama/VaTech and Oklahoma/BYU. Go Blue!

I'll try my best but think I'll find atleast find out the score from facebook statuses. The game would start here around 12 midnight so I would be asleep then, wake up around 9ish (on the 6th), leave to the airport at around 3pm, land in Dubai local time around 11pm, get home and download torrent (fingers crossed theres one available), sleep and watch the next morning. Reminds me of the superbowl episode in how i met your mother...

1. I am picking up a Friend and his two kids. All three are huge UM fans, and have never had the opportunity to go to the Big House for a Game. Great Family. I am taking my Son and Daughter, and meeting three other College friends who are also bringing their children. I will be meeting two other best friends from High School. I will be Tailgating with My Parents, My Former SuperIntendent, etc.....(Spreading the UM Love) 2. I will be sporting my Maize TShirts.......Which State on the back, "PSALM 23 I Fear No Evil ROD N THY Staff Give Me Strength." Hopefully I still have enough to give to my fellow tailgate friends at the Print Shop at Hoover and Greene.....( Giving some Love/Support to our Embattled Leader) 3. Try to convince my Mom and Dad to take the kids home, call one of my friends who is a Deputy, Officer, or Trooper and convince them to drive me home. ("The Man with the Star Drives the Car") Then stay in Ann Arbor, celebrate the first step toward the Climb to the the Top, a UM 38-21 victory. (Celebrating the Return to Normalcy in the Universe) GO BLUE.

1. Wake-up, do a few things around the house, put on my brand new #2 jersey, and get on the road for the hour and a half drive to A^2. 2. Meet up with some friends for some tailgating, head over to the stadium, and watch some warm ups and the band, all while trying not to get overly giddy and borderline ADHD. 3. Watch UM fuck shit up, drive up north, and enjoy the last weekend before my senior year.

1. Wake up, bide the time until the game, including picking up the gf. 2. Go the local watering hole around the block, watch game, and likely eat. 3. Get hammered in celebration of the return of Michigan football.
