2nd Half Thread MBB
Lets hope a new thread helps this team, the other one was taking too long
a comeback, we need to keep it going, nice to see Nik hit a 3
Is good.
man we suck
I wonder if its fatigue or simply youth or softness that accounts for this team looking like the first 18 games
need to box out better on defense. Also anyone who wants to start helping burke would be welcome
I'm just glad we have the most passionate fan base in the country and I think the previous thread really showed that.
GR3 needs to work on his jumpshot.
Next practice I want Herb Brooks's ghost to show up with a whistle...AGAIN! gassers all day and night...run the soft pussiness out of this team please!
Just checking if anybody here agrees with me: is it time for Robinson to maybe lose some playing time. From a pure talent standpoint, he's the second most talented player on the team, but he clearly has lost a step as the season has gone on. I think it's time to cut back on his minutes a bit.
I definitely agree with this.
love the intensity right now but why didn't they start the game like that?
We're a young team, bad on the road. I'm not exactly sure how much blame should be placed on the coaches, on youth, strength of conference, etc.
This team could desperately use a leader. So much talent, but no one to pull them along when they're playing poorly
55-52. Lets go. 7:42 left.
Just once I want refs to either call all nickel dime fouls or not call them. Tired of the inconsistency
Whoever said that Purdue was a bad FT shooting team, YOU LIE
playing better
and
how come our opponents don't get called for over the back?
Christ we need some stops.
not a foul anymore?
Rarely called I've noticed.
Purdue getting lucky with the FTs. Shooting way above their %
Beilein almost got angry there
Pick 6! Pick 6!
DJ Byrd is a tool.
"All ball, all ball". Bullshit.
Called for breathing on Hammond
the game is right there for the taking. Purdue is losing the mometum, now we just need to take it. Hitting a 3 would be awesome right about now
Purdue shooting FTs like they want to win.
Our defense seems to consist of lots of running around when the ball is passed. All of our players chase it to whoever has it at the time, leaving everyone else wide open. It's ridiculous. Switch to a zone or something.
Did we switch to zone on their last possession? I only saw a bit of it but we were more spread out (less everyone after the 1 guy with the ball, if you will). If so, I also support, confuse them a bit.
Burke hung in the air about an hour on that shot, lol.
Burke once again doing everything he can to win
playing like the all-american he is right now
Go Team!!!
Weakest hands in the country.
FINAL FOUR here we come!! Only down 1 to Purdue!
If we complete this comeback, Burke should be POTY.
We're an 11-12 loss team without Burke. Boo.
So is just about every team without their best player.
I'm not contesting that.
we are an 11-12 win team w/o Burke
I thought when your teammate set a pick for you, you were supposed to essentially rub shoulders with him to run the defender either into the pick or into chase mode. Why do Michigan's ball handlers always seem to leave enough room for the defender to squeeze through? What's the point of the pick? Why does no one just go up strong and try to draw the foul instead of shooting a 2 foot fadeaway reverse? Why does my mood improve when my TV is muted? And if my mood is improving, why is the cat still hiding under the bed?
on that last FT attemp was that Morgan and SPIKE fighting for the rebound...JEEEEEBUS save us!
In the Finals a few years ago against the Mavs....
Supremely talented, but just lost.
Anybody else think the 32 fouls called so far is a little excessive? 26 combined points from the line, and counting.
MICHIGAN LEADS!
And then... damn.
We started playing better when I muted my tv and stopped paying close attention to the game. I guess I'll spend the rest of the game watching in this manner. I'm currently doing dishes and cleaning our kitchen counters.
I am SOOOO jealous!!!
Hitting a 3 would be awesome right about now
It blows my mind that the #7 team in the country wouldn't get a first-round buy in the conference tourney over a couple of teams that they have split with and that have the same number of wins. This conference is just silly sometimes.
Was thinking along those lines. Pretty messed up...
