I'm not even that interested in where the powers that be rank him. We've all read enough of his biography by now to know that the kid is pure class and embodies the Michigan Man. He's probably my top recruit based on his high character alone. I expect him to be successful at whatever he takes on in life, and I'd sure like it if he started that path in Ann Arbor.

How ND continues to recruit top notch talent continues to baffle me.  The kids they are recruiting weren't even alive the last time they won a meaningful game.  The only time they made it to a BCS game was the year of the Bush push (a choke job on national tv) and lost to Ohio in the bowl game.  The highlight of that game for Notre Dame was the fact that the cameraman kept zooming in on Brady Quinn's sister.

Yeah they may have tradtion but no more so than UM and although UM hasn't won a lot of MNC's in the last 50 years (undefeated in 73', 10-1 in 72' & 74' no bowl games) they have won at least a share of 22 B1G Championships in that time.

I'd be a little cautious with these rankings.  247sports came out with their 2013 rankings very early, and most of these kids are likely to regress to the mean in their rankings (as 247 evaluates more kids and learns more about the kids they've seen).  You see evidence of that when, for example, LTT jumps from unheard of to #38 because Michigan, OSU, and ND offered.  They're paying close attention to which kids we've offered, and those kids' rankings are probably a little inflated because of it.  Plus, Michigan fans pay a lot of money for subscriptions like these, and we're more likely to pay when Michigan's after top targets, so their incentives are a little messy.

Still, I'm excited, because I'm sure this will be an outstanding class.
