24/7 sports michigan page question

Submitted by newfoundhbomb on

hey guys i was wondering what is exactly 24/7 sports?  I know the Michigan page is very bare bones and has some basic information about recruits, and some other teams pages are alot more detailed and seem to be run by a more polished website like inside indiana, spartan tailgate, bucknuts and so forth.  Just currious as to why the Michigan page isn't as detailed.

247 is a new recruiting site started by the same guys who started Rivals. A lot of the team sites have migrated over from other places (Rivals, Scout, other message boards, etc.). A Michigan team site doesn't exist because no one migrated over (theWolverine, GBW, etc.). According to the analysts over there, they're working as fast as possible to set up team sites for the big fanbases so they should have a Michigan team site sometime in the near future.

About 3-4 months ago bucknuts moved from independent to 24/7 and while some of the members complained because of change the vast majority including myself love it. if you get a subscription to one of the sites, that means you have access to all the other sites premium articles. the only tho.g you can't see on other sites are the forums that are marked "VIP". Half the time they aren't marked that anyway because you have to manually mark it that. pretty great setup overall and even without having a Michigan site up yet, there's quite a few Michigan posters over there. I would say a guy by the name of "cwoodson" is typically the most informed of the group. he seems like a pretty good guy.

The Blue Board is essentially a main board where everyone is. It's usually great discussion and has some funny stuff as well. There is some bitching between MSU and UM. AU and Bama, but some good guys on there and the mods especially Witfong are good and answer questions well.

OT: I didn't want to start a topic but check this out. This is what they posted tonight BTW. And if you ever trusted someone for 1 thing, this is the time. Check this out.

I believe this is Bill King's project and started when he had a falling out with Rivals. He's a pretty legit college sports guy who primarily focuses on football. He has a morning radio show on Sirius from Nashville. King's been around for a long time and has a pretty solid track record

I guess it all depends of the contract that the sites have with companies like RIvals and Scout. I heard that once the contract with Rivals ends, thewolverine.com is supposed to move to 247.

247 Midwest Analyst Steve Wiltfong is very good. The coverage of the Midwest is far superior than Rivals, seeing that Rivals doesn't even have a Midwest guy. Also, rumor has it that TheWolverine may be making the jump in October.
