I like that we are active all the way up to the last day.  Hoke gave us comfort by getting everyone committed by August and pulled in some good classes, but... he may have been able to get a few more 4 starts if he was still in play during January.  That stated, I do rememeber missing out on all the high rated recruits on NSD.  Let's see what surprises/exhales HARBAUGH brings us.

Both schools will admit him if he meets the NCAA minimum standards.  If there is doubt about whether he will meet those standards, SC may have less of a numbers crunch this year and be willing to take a chance (sign him up and if he doesn't enroll deal with it or hope he'll come back eventually after some juco time).

Sounds like the snake oil is a comin'

Problem is, who does this leave out?

Even if you leave Murphy out...you can get 6 names in...

  1. Gary
  2. Hill
  3. Nordin
  4. Asiasi
  5. Tagaloa
  6. Vicious Vic

Who knows at this point...just under 48 hours from it all being over for everyone and the offseason officially beginning.

I do not either.  But the plus side is i will be estatically suprised if they do come.  I think Asiasi has a chance to be a monster TE.  He moved very well for his size at the all star game.  And with that size he would block ends like a mack truck.

IIRC, you're a UCLA fan and/or season ticket holder?  But I think you're right on the money here.  Mora is in a fantastic position and can wait for his spot if he ever wants to go to the NFL.  Bruins had a ton of injuries this year and still had a pretty good season.  And expectations are never what they are across town, so 9+ wins is going to keep him on NFL radars permanently, especially with his pedigree in the league.

People joke about Carroll leaving USC, but he did so after 9 years and with personnel control and one of the highest coaching salaries in the NFL.  Then won a Super Bowl and went to another.  The NFL is about talent and if Mora can pick his spot he will do very well if/when he makes the jump.  But he ain't in no hurry to give up what he's got unless the deal is too good to pass up (as it was for Carroll).

UCLA fan from day one(father's influence), but never went there.  I absolutely Agree Mora will have his chance to pick his spot if the team does well and having Rosen for two more years definitely increases those odds.  The reflexive Mora to the NFL thing just always strikes me lazy thinking.

The team I coach for played Rennie this past season. He's extremely raw and just started playing in 11th grade I think, but he's huge and pretty talented. Good Utr pick up.
