For me with Buckeye-Cable its channel 227, but 24 hours of Michigan-Ohio State games tomorrow for those who need something other than the Lions game to watch.
24 hour marathon of Mich-OSU on ESPN Classic tomorrow
Ugh. If only my cable hadnt gotten rid of ESPN Classic. Big Ten Network isn't doing a ton of replays of The Game, which pisses me off.
I'm only willing to watch the games Michigan wins... I can't take anything else right now.
I'm with ya. I've been getting my necessary dose of WolverineHistorian the past few days.
2 AM: 1974
4 AM: 1979
6 AM: 1987
8 AM: 1996
10 AM: 2001
2 PM: 1995
4 PM: 1997
6 PM: 2003
8 PM: 2006
10 PM: 1999
Midnight Fri.: 2005
2 AM Fri.: 2000
So if you don't want to be depressed, stay up for the midnight game, go to sleep, wake up and turn back, then step away until 2 and watch 3 straight wins, take a break, watch the 10 PM game, then go to sleep and record the 2 AM Friday game to watch before the games on Friday. It has to be better than watching the Lions and Cowboys at least.
every game is an OSU win..... but one. More like an Ohio State marathon.
'69 is Bo's first game against OSU - A win
'96 is the game someone on the board just brought up in the past 24 hours - A UM win
'95 is a win
'97 is '97
'03 is the 100th Big Game - A Big Ten title cliching win
'99 is the win that made it possible for the classic Orange Bowl against Bama
'00 is a win
7 UM wins, 7 OSU wins, what world are you in.
Never watched the '69 game all the way through before, but the defensive tackling looks vaugely similiar to today. Good sign?
1969, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2003 are all Michigan wins. That's half of the games.
I take that back, my friend told me that. I haven't personally checked.
However, after today you should know it's all about your sources...
Anyways, I can't watch because DISH moved ESPN classic up a notch and I had no friggin idea until I just checked an hour ago.
Why should you even have to check? Or listen to someone who is clueless?
It is their job at ESPN Classic to remain neutral and not piss anyone off. So they almost always show even wins and losses on rivalry marathons. They could even find a way to make the Michigan/MSU football rivalry look "even."
They could always show the '73 or '92 tie games. That would be neutral.
The most painful shot a pro-Buckeye TV station could EVER take against Wolverine fans would be to show the Crable personal foul against Smith for 48 hours non-stop....
Anything but that man, don't give the suckeyes any ideas!
Having only been paying attention to Michigan football since 2004, I have yet to witness a Michigan victory against OSU in person (damnit). I will be recording all those wins...and also perhaps 2006, since it was honestly an awesome game that I have almost 0 recollection of even though I was AT the game!
Im going to DVR it as well. I cant miss a thanksgiving Lions loss....its a tradition!
I'm breaking down and getting cable. This is worth the whole price of admission.
If you're a Netflix streamer like I am, through your Wii or an Xbox or Playstation or whatever, there is a Mich-OSU tradition video in the 'Watch Instantly' category. Search for it. That's Saturday morning for me while I'm making my untouchable turkey chili. Word.
I just finished a new two parter for the 96 game. Much more highlights this time.
You are awesome beyond explanation.
Good God. M needs to put a sound, well coached defensive unit on the field again. That was a beauty to watch.
First game just starting
God bless DEFENSE.
We rave about Biakabatuka's performance in 1995, but Chris Howard deserves some love for his awesome performance in 1996.
Wow, that was the worst 1st half of Michigan football I had ever seen. Even worse than M-Wisc 2010.
How did we ever lose that game?
We had so many opportunities to put it away. OSU won it by the skin of their teeth.
That offensive pass interference push-off call against Braylon in the first half was a bullshit call. That was a big difference maker.
had every opportunity to win that game. I remember thinking that was a bad call on Braylon, but after seeing it again, I think it was right. He grabbed the back of Gamble's jersey and yanked him down.
Game shoulda been ours regardless.
Are there any online streams? ESPN-Classic in Canada is showing Classic X-games. yay. /s
Been looking for twenty minutes.
It's funny, in 1995 OSU was guilty of not taking us seriously enough and playing flat.
In 1996 they were guilty of taking us too seriously and choked.
In 1997 it did not matter, we were just better.
1995 was not a great year on paper. We had 4 weak loses and lost our bowl game.
But whenever Michigan 1995 is mentioned, a smile crosses my face. I don't think about 4 loses and the bowl game. What I think about is Tim Biakabatuka running wild for 300+ yards and knocking OSU out of the National Championship picture.
Any season where we beat OSU like that (1993, 1996 also come to mind) is a great season.
