I may have mentioned this here before, but about 6 or so years ago I was working as a caterer at the Michigan League. This particular event was a football alumni event or reunion type thing. Before the dinner there was a cocktail hour and during it Dan Dierdof's wife came up to me and asked if I could get a chair for him, since it was hard for him to stand for long periods of time due to a knee injury.

I go back into the kitchen and radio for maintenence to bring one up, I carry it out and I inform his wife that we have the chair. She was so thankful that she gave me a $20 tip, which was a big deal since I was a poor college student and we usually didn't get tips at a catering job.
