Interesting that the eastern PA camp had like 2000 and I think Texas only 300 or so, but the Texas one was loaded. Probably just indicative of the talent pools of the respective areas, but that's still impressive to have more talent in less than 1/6th the camp size

They have had some highly rated guys there, but they never seem to pan out. Tyrone swoops was a top 5 qb and he's been up and down his career so far and half the time there are rumors of him being moved to tight end. They also had connor Brewer who was a top 10 qb too before he transferred. Then they bring in the second best dual threat guy in last years class, so they have had some highly rated guys on the roster none of them have seemed to pan out though

I watched this kid play last year and he's legit.  He'll probably be the biggest QB recruit to come out of Texas since Vince Young.   I don't know jack about recruiting but that's what people have been saying around DFW.

Robinson doesn't really jump off the screen like I expected when I first watched his film a few weeks ago. I did have to remind myself, though, that he was only a sophomore in the video. He's not as dynamic of a runner as I expected for the #1 dual-threat guy, and he also doesn't throw the greatest ball. That just goes to show how these rankings that are coming earlier and earlier are ballpark guesses.

My uncle that is a Assistant at a high school in Texas mention something about this kid. Yea he is 1 Duel Threat QB in Texas but I think he's going to Texas but with Harbaugh he might get this kid, who knows?

Serious question -- given Harbaugh's offensive style preference, would he be interested in a dual-threat QB?  Or is it a case of "get QB athleticism first, and we'll find a way to use it?"

Considering Harbaugh offered Shawn Robinson, I think he would take him.

I do think Harbaugh prefers pro-style guys, but if he can find an elite passer who is also able to run, then there's no reason to avoid a talent like that.

From your post earlier re: Robinson -- "and he also doesn't throw the greatest ball"

The "elite passer who can run" thing I get ... that's kinda-sorta Colin Kaepernick ... sorta.  But if the equation is flipped -- reasonable passer but great runner (another Robinson who wore #16), is that a Harbaugh choice?

As you cited earlier, Robinson is a sophomore, so there's that to take into account.  There must be *something* Harbaugh sees.

*shrug* ... HARBAUGH! :-)

I do not believe so, no. I think Harbaugh's system is too dependent on reading defenses, pocket presence, and throwing downfield to believe Denard would be a serious option. Harbaugh might take Denard but stress that he would be considered an "athlete."

enough to fit in his offense. Some dual threat QBs would be highly ranked if you disregarded their running ability.

I think the interesting question if whether he would take any that don't. He likes to take players that can be moved around if they don't work out at their first position. Carr took a few.dual threat QBs of both types. I wouldn't be surprised to see Harbaugh do the same, especially given how many QBs he signs.
