Confirmed that Mark May got the ax from ESPN as well
Day just got better.
lol great pick by the bears. another season sweep for the Lions
Lol Bears. Gotta love when a division rival wastes the #2 pick like that
NFL GMs must like Trubisky than the analysts. Or Bears just did an all-timer.
John Lynch must be a hell of a poker player. Convinced the Bears he was gonna pick Trubisky then robbed them..
Yeah, I have to think that he told the Bears, "I've got the Jets on line 2 and the Browns on line 3 -- what'll you give?"
Probably not. If it wasn't the Bears another team was going to give SF a ton for that pick.
sad day
Per Jags site,
Offseason to date: The Jaguars opted to not re-sign four-year veteran and 2013 fifth-round draft selection Denard Robinson, and also did not re-sign Joe Banyard and Daryl Richardson.
I love to kiss tittiess

Doesn't everybody!
So you're absolutely sure he won't succeed then? That's weird.
Corey Davis WMU is the first player of a Michigan school to be chosen in the 2017 NFL draft.
Wish they would wait for the pick instead of always showing the person receiving the call. Takes the suspense out of the pick.
I was just gonna say the same thing. Typical of media. Always want to break the story. Like when they ruin a kids commitment announcement an hour before they announce.
Corey Davis Top 5!!! WOW!!!
I'm still amazed Davis went that high. He's a talented WR, but that's super-high for a guy I saw in the middle of the round going into the night.
Of course the white guy with a neck beard loves the McCaffrey selection.
Sitting out of bowl game didn't hurt either of the RBs. Going to become more of a trend if you are not in the playoffs.

Don't blame them...but they were 1st round picks before they sat.
When you talk about the number of 1st round picks, then the number of 1st round picks bowls (but not playoffs)...how many are left? And not all of them are going to sit out. So what's that...like 5 guys a year?
Meh.
The Bears just went full Cleveland Browns.
You NEVER go full Cleveland Browns.
Feels like a lot of people wants to capture the Elliott vibe from last year with these RB picks, and while I get McCaffrey a bit more, both him and especially Fournette seems like reaches in the first 8 slots.
Maybe. Or maybe people have been led to believe something that just isn't true i.e. that running backs aren't as valuable at high picks. I think they are and I think McCaffrey is pretty damn good.
Before last year, the last 2 RBs taken in the first round were Melvin Gordon (career 3.7 ypc) and Todd Gurley (3.9 ypc), and both of them (arguably) had worse 2nd years than their first. Last year, you could have gotten almost the same production as Elliott in Jordan Howard in the 5th round. The year Gurley and Gordon were taken? TJ Yeldon went #36, David Johnson 86th, Tevin Coleman 73rd, and Jay Ajayi 149th (!).
My point is that more times than not, great RBs can be had far down the board, whereas expecting to pick up a Pro Bowl left tackle in the 3rd round is far less likely.
Probably right on that point but there isn't shit for good left tackles in this draft. So if you need a running back, you go get a running back. It isn't that complicated.
That's fine, but I'd like to think you could have gotten anyone other than Fournette later in this half of the first round or even the second, and every team drafting in the top 10 has bigger needs than at RB.
