2017 LB Josh Ross (brother of James) offered by Oklahoma EDIT: and MSU
Jerry Montgomery all the way
Was Montgomery the recruiter for the older Ross?
No. I think Fred Jackson is in charge of that area.
ken725 is right. Fred Jackson recruited James Ross. He's the main recruiter in the Detroit area.
Interesting. I saw him Saturday at the game actually. He was on crutches.
Maybe Michigan can double dip on current players brothers in 2017 with Josh Ross and Lavert Hill from Cass Tech.
Is he the brother of Delano and Caris?
Delano. Caris' last name is Levert
Josh Ross is done for the year. I believe he broke his ankle.
His dad will push Michigan all the way...
Wow - he's played what, 5 games as a high schooler?
He could be in the NFL in 7 years.
Seems a bit youn-- I TAKE IT BACK I TAKE IT BACK!!!!!
I wish we had the points system, it was made for posts like these.
...now YOU'RE BANNED!!!!!!!
Overhand smash into the stands.
It might be a little early into the recruiting process but I am pretty sure Michigan will make his top 5.
Believe I saw an analyst say that Joshua has a bigger frame than his brother. If he has his brother's instincts and is a similar athlete, kid should be a stud. Really early though.
I believe he's listed at 6'2", 190 lbs.
So he's played all of 5-6 high school football games? A lot can happen in 4 years, and it will be 6 or 7 likely before he sees significant playing time. I think this might be a bit overzealous. When (if?) I have a sun, he had better hold offers before he's out of the womb.
But will he have a sun?
Your sun will have a bright future as a hot prospect. No worries!
Yeah, well, the world literally revolves around my sun.

Thanks for making my night!
For being cosmically consistent.
Let's just say college coaches aren't going to offer a scholarship to a white dwarf.
Stupid racist heightests.
Is that because they'd rather have your black hole?
A red giant to go in it.
Too bad I can't vote. This would absolutely be a posbang.
Neg'd for subtle stellar racist homophobia.
Pos'd for everything else.
Too prone to catastrophic collapses late in the game.
already has a jump on his sun's recruiting?
I call him sun because he shines like one.
"Will take something monumental for him not to go to Michigan."
I see why we didn't get the Bars brother. But James was a starter as a freshman and seems to be having a great time at Michigan. I look forward to seeing Josh in the maize and blue!
Per Blake's mgoblue profiles:
father, Joe, played linebacker at Notre Dame (1981-84), while uncle, Mike, played football and hockey at Notre Dame... is brother of Penn State senior/junior defensive end Brad Bars ... grandparents attended Michigan, while grandfather, Douglas Eggleston, played football at U-M
So they've had family play everywhere. The only strange one appears to be eldest (Brad) who was the only family member to not play for Notre Dame or Michigan
You change a lot in high school so just because Josh says he loves Michigan now doesn't mean two years and some recruiting trips won't completely change it
Good for that young man. Hopefully Michigan offers when they start offering 2017 kids.
Too bad he's not another James. Can you imagine 20 years from now? James Ross XII.
...and if that kid was knighted...
Another interesting note: Josh Ross plays hockey and is quite good at it.
James also played and was good at it (compared to the general populace).
The boys are the right distance appart age wise for the their to be some looking up from Josh to James. To have a brother starting at UM when you are an 8th grader is huge. The Bars brothers were close in age, that tends to lead to some "blaze my own path, out of his shadow" type stuff.
