To hell with Notre Dame.

Great games today and tomorrow...I'm very excited to watch some good basketball.
That and my bracket is still looking good with USC and...fucking MSU being my only loses thus far. Not so humble brag?

The West Virginia mascot is awesome.

West Virginia looking tough as hell today. Not sure Notre Dame can handle them especially down double digits already. W. Virginia will have tongo very cold I feel to allow ND any chance to get a lead and keep it.
Good day of basketball ahead.

Curious how people feel about rooting for Wisconsin. I think the earlier thread revealed a strong consensus that it is impossible to root for MSU (and I agree!), but what about the Badgers? I'm pulled no for them over 'Nova--anyone else?

was a school like Duke or UNC I would bring rooting for Wisconsin. In all reality, I wouldn't mind seeing Nova make another run depending on how deep Michigan makes it.

I think most people have no problem rooting for Big Ten teams other than MSU and OSU.
For me, it depends on the team and the sport, and sometimes the coach. For example, I have no problem rooting for Indiana in football, except for when they play us.
But IU basketball, back in the psycho Bobby Knight era? No way in hell. And losing to them in the 1976 NCAA finals didn't help.

I'll happily root for Wisconsin and Sparty. Always root for upsets!
I usually don't mind rooting for other Big Ten teams as long as they aren't playing and they're not MSU or OSU. But I'm especially rooting for Northwestern.
Would love to see them knock off Gonzaga.

Are atrocious

vs Butler should be an excellent game.

Mid Tenn big
Yea I think MTSU takes it. They have 3 different guys that can score at will and take over a game. Horribly seeded as a 12.

I hate teams like West Virginia that foul you on every possession and dare the officials to call 20 fouls a half on them.
when they get that press rolling. Yikes.
so I'll basically just root for chaos at this point. And to hell with Notre Dame, although I do root for all Jesuit schools, so go Zags and Musketeers!
Huge 3s by WV to extend this. Every time ND gets "close" WV shuts the damn door on them. Don't see ND truly getting back into this one.
On this day in 1990 defending national champions Michigan faced Loyola Marymount in the highest scoring game in NCAA tournament history.
LMU won 149-115 in the most entertaining Michigan loss I have ever witnessed.
For you youngins, the 1990 LMU team was one of the most memorable stories in NCAA tournament history.

Why does ND always have the douchiest coaches?
ND is by definition of collection of pale, angry, alchohol abusing lepers.
Lots of good games today. Could see any of the lower seeds advancing and not be super shocked.
But I expect the B1G to get swept today
I had Notre Dame losing this game anyway, so the result short of the last three minutes - where admittedly anything could happen - is pleasing to me.
Lots of good ones today, I think. Happy viewing, everyone.
Mike Brey looks like he lives in a family-sized vehicle down by a swift-moving body of water.
ND loses posbang!
Great way to start day three!
I will never ever ever root for OSU or MSU in any contest, other than those 2 I root for BIG 10 in Tourney. The only consolation I have if Nova wins is that they are in Dooks Regional.
Does this year's rendition of Louisville have a random white guy who can rain 3s down on us? If not, then I feel a lot better about tomorrow.
Always hate when you get a guy like him. Never heard from again, lights it up in a big game and it had to be against Michigan. Hancock I think his name was. Frickin putz.
Huggins will probably go down in history as the most underrated coach ever. What he does year in and year out against much better talent is simply amazing.
Didn't he also cheat at Cincy?
Huggins is a fantastic coach. His players give everything they can on the court, and they're fun to watch. I've only rooted against his teams when they've played M.
His dad was a legendary high school coach in Ohio, and I attended his basketball camps when I was growing up. I learned more from Charlie Huggins in a few days than I learned from my high school coaches in four years.
that is a good-looking team
How is Villanova so good year in and out? They don't recruit like UK, Duke, Zona or UCLA either.
Wright is a hell of a coach.
mgoblog double post special
I regret I picked them to win the tournament though...They haven't looked imposing at all.
Happ getting the Wagner treatment
is making me appreciate how good Michigan is playing. We beat them soundly and they're playing even with one of the best teams in the country. Those 3's at the end of the shot clock that they have made were blocked by us. Those extra passes for shots were tipped or guarded so well they missed. Their defense could barely hold us. I know it's transitive but dang. We put it to this Wisconsin team and they are leading Nova...
And without Happ makes it more amazing
Nova is a team that plays well into Wisconsin's game because Nova is so guard heavy. Wisconsin can keep up.
Perpetually confused by basketball refereeing..
Badgers taking it in the ear in the last 4 minutes from the refs.
called that a block.
right to his teammate
Nova is deff not used to playing against Wisco lol.
gets away with hooking the Badger on the drive. Should never have become a shot attempt in the lane.
They ignored it since it wasn't on Wisconsin.
WHAT THE FUCK? Are You kidding me? lol too funny
Wisconsin giving them 2 ORebs to start rhe half. C'mon
was in the air. BS call.
