2017 #1 TE from Texas is visiting Michigan

Submitted by Losher on

This wasn't big news anywhere on here and sort of got buried over at 247 with all the news coming out of the 2016 class so I thought I would post it here to give you guys some more positive news on the recruiting front This young man was a participant in one of the two texas satellite camps that michigan held recently so this is a good sign. Current crystal ball leader is Notre Dame with Texas A&M the other team receiving a vote. Its always tough to pull texas kids out of texas but as we have seen there are many things possible when you have harbaugh at the helm

Reported this over a week ago, but 2017's #1 TE is currently at #Michigan also (FREE): http://t.co/j4raOKGsRz pic.twitter.com/fEJLTKl1Ey

Wright, who we believe is the top overall target for the Michigan staff at the TE position in 2017, is ranked 58th overall in the country according to 247Sports in his class and is the top player at his position in the cycle.

The four-star currently holds offers from Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Georgia, LSU and others.

Wright is from the same high school as Sam McGuffie and is believed to be a Notre Dame lean.

Glad he attended one of the Texas camps and hope he does go thru with the visit.  Not sure why he would want to go to ND, unless family/friends, etc., vs. JH who employs them better than any other college coach.  And wow, maybe the ess eee see coaches are right that JH is using the camps for recruiting, well they can still go fuck themselves regardless.

It's kinda hard to argue that the summer swarm tour wasn't for recruiting. I mean, the coaches were basically evaluating the prospects at each of their stops and if they liked them enough, even ended up offering them. They were selling Michigan and all the coaches at Michigan right now. That being said, that doesn't stop the camps from being an amazing learning opportunity for the kids. Even if the kids aren't offered, they get to be coached up (actually coached up... not just coaches standing in a corner evaluating them as happens in some other camps) by some of the best coaches in college football, most of who have experience in the NFL in one way or the other. For anyone who is unable to come up to the Michigan, these camps were an opportunity of a lifetime and gave a chance for them to learn from the best, all while being in their own backyard. At the end of the day, it's a win-win for the kids.

TL;DR - SEC can go suck a dick and HARBAUGH is awesome.

course, considering how clairvoyant his statement was.

Dennis is a spartan.  I could be wrong, but I'm about 99% sure I'm not.  Check out his posting history.  For example, his posts during the spartan d line bonanza.

And why is that 2017 commit not on the depth chart by class page? I'd try to add him myself, but I doubt I have the authority to add another year. And even if I did I'm pretty sure I'd fail as I sit working on my fourth Crooked Tree.

And I believe this is the TE that Jay Harbaugh followed around quite a bit. I can tell you Brock looked really good, dominating all of his drills. He was fast, very good footwork. Hope he goes blue!! I just read he has 4.6 speed.
