2016 MBB Recruiting: 5* F Miles Bridges to visit Michigan today

Submitted by ypsituckyboy on

Per Sam Webb, the 5* F from Flint is set to be on campus today. He's really, really good and this is a big development. We're in his top 5, but before now he hadn't even visited. Webb has previously stated that he thinks we have a shot with Bridges if we can reel in Winston since the two are friends. Assuming his grades are in order, he will almost assuredly leave with an offer.

Most think Bridges is Kentucky or MSU bound, with the other three schools in his top 5 trailing by a wide margin.

If I was a college athlete, this is a no brainer. Never understood the mindset. So to another posters point ... I will take an off the radar guy or gal that gets it any day all day.

You sure it was the Fab 48? Bridges only played in 2 games there with 1Nation, and was dominant in both (outplayed Josh Jackson)...and their team won the tourney.

Miles played in Chris Paul's event and dominated Jayson Tatum head-to-head, and also destroyed Harry Giles' team.

Most national scouts will tell you Miles has had arguably the most dominant summer of any player in the country.

Him being on campus should be a bigger deal...it's not only because of Michigan's horrible with its last couple of high profile guys (Jaylen Brown/Battle/Langford).

The decision to go after Bridges now with Watson in the fold is especially concerning when they could've kept after Langford after taking Battle (and probably would've had him if they had done so). The coaches should've been recruiting with an eye towards attrition when they had Langford interested in coming. Starting to do so now when both Battle and Langford are gone + way behind on Bridges is just mind-boggling
