Sorry, don't know how to embed the actual tweet. He was choosing between going to college or going pro in Europe, sounds like he wants to come here to play college ball. Had some interest from Duke and UConn as well, per UMHoops.
All four of the actors portraying the bumbling German characters were Jewish (Colonel Klink, Sargeant Schultz, General Bulkhalter, and Major Hochstetter).
* Werner Klemperer (Colonel Klink) was the son of conductor Otto Klemperer, a Jew who left Germany in 1933 when Hitler came to power.
* John Banner (Sergeant Schultz), an Austrian Jew, was touring with actors in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1938 when Hitler invaded Austria. Unable to return home, he emigrated to the United States.
* Leon Askin (General Burkhalter) was an actor in Germany when Hitler became Chancellor. He was dismissed from the theater and was later arrested and beaten by the Gestapo. He fled to Paris, and emigrated to the United States in 1938.
* Howard Caine (Major Hochstetter) was a Jew born in Tennessee.
* Robert Clary, who played a French prisoner named Corporal LeBeau, had actually been imprisoned for three years in a Nazi concentration camp. Clary is the only one of the main cast that is still alive.

"Who is this man?"
that everytime a German or Germany is mentioned Nazism invariably comes up.
I have been guilty of this in the past myself so I'm not judging you. But we really need as a country to expand our knowledge of Deutschland. It seems criminally ignorant to associate Germany only with extreme racism, nationalism, and war when it has given so much to Western civilization in the fields of science, philosophy, and engineering.
Dude likes that spot near the top of the arc. Driveway hoops.
Is this kid under the radar? I can't seem to find any of the recruiting sites with information on him. What's the deal?
From his highlights it seems like he would be excellent for Beilein's offense. Imagine that with a couple years of Camp Sanderson. Exciting.
Beilein's overlooked gem recruits always seem to pan out. Yes, please.

At least not by comparison to Beilein's other early recruits. Scout ranked him ahead of Darius Morris. Colton Christian is a good example, Bielfeldt until this season. His success finding very lightly recruited late pickups is remarkable.
The other Morris mentioned was an Amaker recruit.
Name of the year candidate?

[Made more sense when I thought you were talking about that other BBall.]
Looks like he has a lot of coordination and moves for a big. Hopefully he's put on some weight since he was listed at 194 though. Sign him up!
Mitch McGary has a Teutonic progenitor? Get Vahh-gner to Ann Arbor sofort! Otherwise Carter goes back in the cooler and Schulzie goes on a diet people.
...how big is his Fahrvergnügen and will it make a difference?

I don't know what it is but this kid reminds me a lot of Dirk Nowitzki. Just my gut feeling or something. Anyone else think its a good comparison?
I think any European big that can shoot the ball is inevitably gonna draw comparisons to Nowitzki.
or Tom Selleck.
all this length could make our zone defense stellar in the next few seasons.
michigan becomes elite again when they can be mostly consistent on the defensive end and force above average turnovers.
more points in transition, a stockade of shooters, yeah bud.
