2015 class, transfers all enrolled

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Thankfully the days of worrying about guys getting enrolled are long gone.

As of tonight, all of the 2015 recruiting class has enrolled at Michigan as well as all four incoming transfers per the umich directory.

You don't get it... This is only the beginning. The beginning of his plan to get us hooked and accustomed to his updates, then BAM, he starts charging for his services. Pretty soon, we are going to be paying WD to watch the games for us. It's called freemium. Look it up. I, for one, have already accepted my fate. Don't try to fight it. Resistance is futile.

Incredibly, a percentage much larger than zero of people on this board seem to care, and for the life of me I don't know why.  It's surprising since the vast majority of his posts consists of almost entirely innocuous information and yet he seems to be one of the more polarizing people on the board.

It is evident to just about every poster on this board that WD has a passion for Michigan... maybe you should get over yourself and stop using the term "stalking" so flippantly EDIT: in response to poster iLoveMichigan's douchey comment which has now been removed (except for the app)

Wolverine Devotee, any idea whether these guys start classes during the summer session?

I don't know for sure but I remember reading something a couple years ago that they do get in this "early" to get a head start with their courses so they aren't overwhelmed when Football starts.

summer term is from july 1 to early august...lots of guys get a few credits under their belt that term...in fact, most players are enrolled to some extent year round to lessen the load for the fall. spring and summer term are accelerated versions of fall/winter classes

It's not so much about being overwhelmed in any period as it is tacking on credits and being eligible for certain benefits while taking classes (mostly related to their sport, IIRC, but I believe they do get housing money).

The "Summer semester" begins either the end of June or beginning of July. Classes only last about 2 months so they compress the info down a little. Most athletes that enroll take one or two classes in this semester to get a headstart and begin adjusting before the "real" semesters start.

Not WD but as a student I've worked for Michigan in a few different offices, include the office that does orientation. The majority, if not all, of the incoming football freshman attend a specific summer orientation specifically for students who are going to be taking summer classes. So yes, they do take classes.

Shane Morris was in a summer class I taught his freshman year. I still remember the day Hoke made him cut off his beard--at the start of 2-a-days. Taking summer classes is how a lot of players graduate in 3 years.

I'm not sure that Moritz Wagner not being enrolled yet for MBB is good.

I looked at some incoming Freshmen from other sports and most of them are in. Maybe it's different because he's from overseas or maybe I'm just looking for something to worry about.

According to ETS, the testing service that administers the TOEFL, score reports take 13 days for processing and printing, then there's an additional 7-10 day delivery cycle by mail in the US. Not sure if I've heard whether he's taken it yet, but he definitely has to for admission. Fingers crossed the delay is due to something like that.

Those are titles. My friend has those next to her name because she has a job at the Union and goes to Michigan. So he could have a job on campus or something like that.
