2015 CB Nate Dalton no longer visitng this weekend
Per his Twitters, he said he made the decision not to visit. Sounds odd that a guy with offers from Kentucky, Liberty, and Arkansas would cancel, especially since I think Harbaugh made an in-home visit last night IIRC. It may be the UM homer in me, but seems more like a "I broke up with her, she didn't break up with me" situation due to a change in circumstances.

We are visiting/being visited by people I've never heard of. With that offer sheet I see why.

If you want to doubt Jim Harbaugh's scouting, go ahead bruh.

It's pretty impressive to see the variety of players he's looking at in terms of position, location, star ranking, etc. It's fun reading up on these new guys.

Why do you think Hoke thought that way?
January 21st, 2015 at 3:59 PM ^
that he will never miss? or just that we can't have opinions on the topic?

This is why this fanbase sucks.

Less competition for Iman.
January 21st, 2015 at 1:28 PM ^
Precisely: Sounds like the coaches got good vibes from Iman "Biggie" Marshall.
With a very limited number of spots, perhaps the staff is hoping to have a few spots open on NSD.
Because we have a few targets who won't likely decide until then. And they'd be worth the wait.
January 21st, 2015 at 1:34 PM ^
i'm torn on this. i feel like the iman's visit went about as well as possible, but i can't see a situation where he doesn't end up at USC. his commitment would definitely be worth waiting for, and we could always bank scholarships come NSD if our top targets go elsewhere (clark, marshall, not sure who else is deciding then). i would just hope they didn't tell a high ceiling player like dalton not to visit when iman's almost certainly not coming and they want 2 CB in the class
January 21st, 2015 at 2:07 PM ^
I'm sure he has a better handle on the situation than you do. They could very well have told him he's not at the top of the list. Everyone is saying Iman isn't coming because the "authorities" say he is going to USC. These would be some of the same people who said Harbaugh would never come to Michigan.
It's also possible, with Liberty being in his top schools that he thinks there are higher priorities than football.
In the end, trust Harbaugh.

Yeah, well everytime someone says this, I think two words: Montae Nicholson.

I love Allison Brie. She makes my heart ache.
January 21st, 2015 at 1:47 PM ^
It might not be Iman.
Maybe they got good vibes from Damon Arnette.
January 21st, 2015 at 5:01 PM ^
Good call.
In any case, it's mildly encouraging to see what appears to be space being made for higher-ranked prospects as NSD approaches. It suggests the staff thinks they may need a little more room than they originally planned for.
January 21st, 2015 at 1:20 PM ^
and I never really fully grasped why he was offered, but in Harbaugh I trusted. Maybe there was interest but the offer was contingent upon missing out on X-Y-Z. Hard to say in this day and age. Good luck to the kid.
January 21st, 2015 at 1:27 PM ^
My first thoughts exactly.
I'm not going to go so far as to say it's Iman Marshall, but this give me the impression that the staff is feeling good about another prospect or two who are higher on their board.

Obviously, Iman is a silent commit and Coach told him to sit this one out.

Must mean good things with Iman considering Peppers moving to safety and then this.

From Virginia, can confirm. Hundreds are injured every year in Lynchburg from drive by Biblings. Their reign of terror knows no bounds!

I endorse only offering people who are educated enough to tell that Liberty is a fake school.
January 21st, 2015 at 1:29 PM ^
Harbaugh is in exuberance mode and will produce as much as he can. Obviously, Coach is turning heads across the country.
January 21st, 2015 at 1:34 PM ^
He just wanted to go to other schools. I think that is OK too.
For all we know Harbaugh laid out some "conditions" that the kid didn't want to meet, or his GF is going to Liberty, or... a million other non-football possibilities.
Assuming this means anything about other recruits is dubious at best.

I am pessissmistic that this news relates to Iman's situation. I have no more info than anyone else in this thread, but I'm not taking the leap of faith that Dalton's quick decision means anything positive relative to another DB. Maybe the kid just doesn't want to play at Michigan.

That's sacrilege, you blaspheming apostate.
