was the freshman/men.  They came to play!  Shorthanded or not, huge win for Blue.   I have a hard time thinking anyone on this board realistically thought we would win the last three.  Now time to hold serve against the bottom half of the conference, hope Sparty drops another while shorthanded and continue to marvel at the prgression Coach B is making with this squad.

Cannot overstate how incredible a job he's done with this team given what he lost and how clearly coaching comes into play (fouls, turnovers, etc.). He has to be a strong candidate for Coach of the Year.

My eyes were welling up tweeting these stats earlier-

  • Michigan has beaten three top-10 teams in a row for the first time EVER.
  • Michigan is the first team in college basketball to beat three straight top-10 teams since florida in the 1987 NCAA Tournament.
  • Michigan has a 3 game winning streak against the #3 ranked team in the country going back to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen win over Kansas.
  • 6 years ago in Beilein's first year, Michigan was 10-22. Now he has a Final Four, an NCAA Regional Championship, a B1G Championship and a 5-2 record against state since 2010-11.

2 in a row. 5 of the last 7. Oh, and their current senior class will leave with a losing record against Michigan.

The best part is knowing that izzo is feeling disgusted by all of this and that Michigan Basketball is alive and flourishing at his team's expense.
