2014 NBA Draft Open Thread
Will tonight be the first time since 1990 where Michigan has a trio of first rounders?
Will the Pistons take a Wolverine if one is available?
Will Jordan Morgan sneak in the draft?
John Beilein said he will wait out all 60 picks to see if JMo gets drafted.
They've got Exum, Burke, and Alec Burks as guards who were all really high picks. Plus, Gordon Hayward who is a 2/3 but is currently an RFA. So there might be too many guys and not enough playing time.
If Exum can shoot the ball. They need to be able to put points on the board. They still have another first round pick.
GRIII?
Dante Exum's dad is Bo Jackson?!!!
Someone remind me why the Pistons have no picks?
Burke and Exum can play together...
I don't think there's a shot in hell Smart and Rondo can. They will literally come to blows.
Everyone is forgetting that Alec Burks exists. So now they've got 3 young guards who were all lottery picks. They've also got to make a decision on Gordon Hayward, who is a 2/3.
I knew about Hayward, but forgot about Burks
Is Rondo leaving?
Have to think they thought they were getting Gordon.
Tough break for them.
I wouldn't take Smart.
The Sacramento Kings will select Nik Stauskas with the No. 8 pick, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

Nik to Kings at #8, book it per Chad Ford. Odd and totally random that Trey and Nik go to the two most boring places in the NBA.
Why does Chad Ford say he's going there?
I'd seen the tweet too. Tried to edit and add: "He was probably talking to the same folks that Adrian Wojnarowski was." But you answered too quickly.
Now they're officially announcing it.
I think he got a REALLY bad rap...I think he's going to have a GREAT career. The kid just wants to win more than anything.
He just has to mature and learn how to control it.
Kobe did, Jordan did. He's not either player...but he's got a drive and a competitiveness that you have to love (or hate)
He should be good there.
The Lakers are a mess but he'll get plenty of experience this year.
Stauskas to the Kings?? FUCK!
I would've taken Charlotte or Philly. Not Sacramento. That's a trainwreck of a franchise.
SHIT!
McDermott to Hornets in everyone's mock draft look like it'll come true.
Then Chad Ford's Twitter feed. He's been 100% so far in the draft:

Woj has Nik to the Kings and he knows, so it's the Kings.
Yes!!!!!
to Sac
These guys all seem like GREAT kids. You hear that all the time, but these guys actually seem like they're going to help lead their franchises in the coming years.
I don't know if this draft will have superstars, but I think it'll have a group of VERY solid players.
The landscape of the NBA has changed. Most kids drafted now are primarily from middle to upper middle class families. Also, a lot of them have a basketball pedigree.
Exum plays a ball handling two with Trey Burke at the one and Gordon Hawyard at the three. Lot of potential there.

Does Utah need bigs?
Drink.
Glad to see Beilein not go for the hand slap hug there.
Yeah- ok! Welcome to Sac Town!!!!!

Are a Twitter fiend.

They just took McLemore.
McLemore was fucking awful last year. I think most teams are pretending last year's draft never happened.
Love seeing Coach Beilein there to give him a congratulatory hug.
Glad to see them talking about Michigan basketball now. Recruits, pay attention!
I LOVE IT!!! WAAAAH WHY CAN'T FOOTBALL HAVE THIS!!!???
Atta boy Nik, sell the program to those recruits!
with a lot of nice props for his coaches and teammates.
Making us proud of him, as always---GO BLUE!
Awesome. Nik gets drafted in the Top10 and they are talking Michigan at the NBA Draft.
Can't get better than that.
Great pick, I bet they never thought he'd be there.
McRoberts opted out.
I do not understand. The Bobcats have #4 overall Zeller, All-NBA Al Jefferson, former lotto pick Bismack Biyombo. Something has to give. Who will it be?
