2014 Final Four Open Thread

Randal getting every call again.  He is going to have a rude awakening in the NBA.  He won't be getting any of these calls.

Steve Kerr saying he is one of the best in college basketball at influencing the games by yelling at the officials. Good for Wisconsin, but I don't think that is a good thing for college basketball that a coach can do that.

on the one hand, I think we are more athletic than Wisconsin, but they seem better equipped to stand up on the defensive boards.

The frustrating thing is that Kentucky is playing so damn sloppy right now. They were damn near perfect against us - here they're turning the ball over like it doesn't matter and missing free throws. 

So glad we got their best, dammit. 

Anyone think these kids got a little big-headed during this last week? I do. 

There is so much in this world that I can accept: disease, famine, meaness and even black flies.  But how many more fucking times times are they going to let Harrison just run head long into the lane during this tourney!?

Awesome play by Kentucky.  3 of them can't get the rebound leading to the 3.

The Refs are doing their best to foul Wisconsin out of the game in the first half.

Meanwhile, Kentucky gets away with mugging on the other end.

So Kentucky is paying the refs in addition to their players.

NCAA reffing is broken.  All you have to do is put your head down, run over your defender and you get two foul shots.  Ridiculous.

Some of that Kentucky player money making it's way to the officials.

Like Unicycle Firefly said, all Kentucky does it tuck the ball, lower their shoulder, and plow through the lane like a goddamn fullback. They might as well let them stiff arm.

These fucking referees are ruining the game. Absolutely pathetic.

I disagree with these announcers - Jackson is the one guy who is a liability from 3, and the guy most likely to try to play outside his abilities. 

Having a Kentucky grad/explayer call the game is such a fucking joke.

I agree they have been crappy so far (as usual), but I don't know if I have ever seen Michigan fans complain so much about the refs during a non-Michigan game. The Kentucky hate is strong on this board right now, and I am all for it.

KY 2-5 on free throws...still can't believe we couldn't expose that weakness

Ugh....I despise Bo Ryan, but I suppose it could be worse. It could be Izzo or Matta back in the Final Four.

That's a shot to the throat.  That's about the 100th time in the last two games Kentucky has committed what should have been an offensive foul

Really just wants to call Steve Kerr a racist.

Kentucky is going to crack.  The Freshmen are going to get frustrated and impatient with Wisconsin's pressure on them.

Wisconsin is genius at acting. Genius. But the kid did push him in the face - but Kaminsky totally kept fouling him. 

On the Canadian feed Bilas is flipping out about the flagrant.

Greg Anthony is not a smart individual.  Still he worked his way up to the top crew.  Props to him.

Like we were, Wisconsin is on the verge of breaking this open.  We conld not finish a few key plays.  We'll see how they do.  If they get a double digit lead on Kentucky, they'll crack.

The flagrant foul situation needs an injection of common sense.
