2014 Early Enrollees?

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Sorry if this has been covered, but does anyone know who is confirmed to enroll early?

The only one I know is Drake Harris.

Not being mean about Campbell, because he'll be great for us in my opinion. But right now, his hands are not that great and his routes need work. Funchess, Butt, Darboh, Chesson, York, Jones, Canteen, Harris, and Dukes will be fine when it comes to receiving next year. As long as Darboh comes back fully healthy, you'll see Funchess, Butt, Darboh, and whoever wins the next spot out there. I'm sure they'll be fine.

The thing with Campbell is yes he is really fast and he's tall, but Chesson is also very fast and he's not what I'd call short. He's now had two full years in the program, plus legit playing time. I'll take him over Campbell for now, because Campbell still has work to do. And I'm not disrespecting Campbell, but you guys see these 40 times and sizes and stars and then automatically think they'll come in and be the next ____ insert player here.

Campbell will be good, but let's wait for him to finish high school first and learn to run better routes and get better at catching the ball. Those are two very important things when it comes to playing receiver.

Drake Harris enrolling early ould be huge. We lose Gallon next season so will need 2 or three WR to step up cant rely on funchess alone. With Darboh and Chesson we should b fine at the WR position

Drake Harris didn't play a single down of high school football this fall.  It was all attributed to a "hamstring", which is probably true, but have you ever heard of an 18-year-old kid missing an entire season for something like that?    I need to hear that he's healthy before I imagine him contributing anything next fall.

Professor "Need-a-raise" should encourage him to do so.

None of these early enrollees is going to help this season. Hoke and boys really need to have a street fight spirit and beat those Buckeyes. That would be a lost season saved (somehow).

I look for Harris and Mone to contribute next season.

I think Harris takes over the Jeremy Jackson/Joe Reynolds minutes, because (just my opinion) I think Darboh is going to be a HUGE addition next year.

I really like Darboh, Chesson (a year older), and Funchess. Along with Harris I think we have some big time outside threats.

I do worry about the slot. It's a crime we don't use Dileo more this year, but I'm not sure who's going to play that spot next year. Justice Hayes? Dennis Norfleet? Freddy Canteen?

Would love to see us use some of that shotgun 2 WR/2 TE stuff that Mizzou used to use so well a few years back.

Darboh and Chesson on the outside with Funchess and Butt on the inside. Harris spelling the outside guys along with 1 or 2 of THIS year's freshman WRs. Hill and Bunting spelling the TEs.

put up ideas like "Would love to see us use some of that shotgun 2 WR/2 TE stuff that Mizzou used to use so well a few years back" and for a second I am like, that's a nice idea, might work with this offense.  Then I chuckle and remember the staff we have and Borges and the inability to even throw a quick out.  Pipe dreams my friend, pipe dreams.
