2014 BCS National Championship Open Thread

Last one, heald in the Grand Daddy of them all!

Florida State is favored by 13 on a neutral field, by some ESPN bottom line metric.  Will Jameis Winston with the Heisman and MNC and end the SEC's run of 6 straight?

Auburn is the self-proclaimed team of destiny.  Will they have one more miracle tonight?

Line: FSU - 10.5

Over/Under: 67.5

SLIGHT MOD EDIT - Not really OT for our purposes. We'll make this the open thread. - LSA

Before presenting FSU the championship trophy,we have special guest Musberger to lead us back on a retrospective look on the grandeur of the SEC, in spite of their recent failings.

Why in the FUCK was Musberger talking about a great season in the SEC and blah blah blah, instead of how amazing FSU's season was!?!?  It bottles the mind!! Bottles it right up so you can't think clearly!! (-Chaz Michael Michaels)

I just want to say that since enrolling at Michigan as a freshman in 2006 this is the first time a non-SEC team has won the national championship. Congrats to Jameis, Jimbo, Jernigan, and all the rest of the Seminoles on their victory.

That said, thank you everyone this is so awesome. Hopefully this means the hegemony for the SEC is over. Long live a multipolar CFB for the rest of our days.

What a great frickin' game, guys.  Just about all the right guys won this bowl season.  Big Ten did well, but OSU loses.  SEC goes down.  It's all right.

Quick cool story bro:  I rely on DirecTV for ESPN, and because of the snow and a crappy disc, ESPN isn't coming in.  So, I had to watch the game on my laptop via ESPN3 and listened to the coaches on ESPNEWS.  Actually, listening to the coaches was super interesting.  I hope they do that again.

BONUS:  I didn't have to listen to Mussberger at all.  You're jealous.  You know it.

Define "well."

I know, the Big Ten, save Michigan, played a bit better than expected.  But 2-5 is hardly a success by any stretch of the imagination.

Auburn, Alabama, and OSU losing is nice, although I would have exchanged a Michigan bowl victory for disappointment in all the other 34 bowl games. (I'm sure you would have, too.)
