2013 WR Travis Johnson: Would Michigan offer him?

I was reading someone's twitter (#3 on the left of this page, under "MGoElsewhere"). A follower of Mr. #3 said he is close to 2013 WR recruit Travis Johnson and would try to get him go blue. So I looked up Mr. Johnson's page on Rivals:

Very impressive offer list. Also, the article on Rivals said he is very interested in Akron State due to Urbie's magic acts.

Just share this with everyone. Hopefully Hoke and co. will offer him soon.

I agree, I think Laquon might be the most important recruit to get as of now, because he seems more obtainable than Foster does.

Foster is going to get quite a few offers and while I think Michigan is in play for him, I'm not always confident going up against SEC programs/USC. WR is a big need for this class.

While i agree that Treadwell, and Foster are our 2 more important reciever prospects for 2013, i don't think we should put all our eggs in one basket. You have to recruit a position of need heavily until we get verbal commits. just my opinion.

247 has him as their 56th best receiver, doesn't carry that much weight this early in the process, but interesting how his offer list is that impressive this early.

I think we would be a long shot even if we did offer. If the kid was from the midwest I think we would have a better chance.

I think Michigan will land Dukes and Treadwell, and then we go all out to land Foster.  That group of 3 WRs will be an excellent haul; we get speed, size, and playmaking abilities.  With all the offers going out to WRs, for sure coaches want multiple WR commits, so I think 3 will be magic number for 2013 class.

The kid is fast and athletic. If the coaches deem him good enough to offer, then I expect them to offer. We already have a few WR targets though.

That we did recruit 2 really good WR's this year, good height and speed and hands who both were born in Africa and know what it's like to be tough and perservere. Also, I have a feeling that preferred walk-on Bo Devers, a legacy guy, is going to factor in, he's 6'2" and seems impressive to me. Why do some people think we need 3 WR's next year.

That's another thing, Hoke is pulling in some very impressive walk-ons the past 2 recruiting seasons, guys that could easily have gotten schollies from some schools and these guys will provide very decent depth and might be able to see the field and help the team.

I never realized that the two WR's from this class have spent much of their lives living just a couple hundred miles from one another.  The distance between St. Louis and Des Moines is probably very similar to the distance between Liberia and Sierra Leone.
