Taco is 265. I hope that's a good 265.

Not that I loved Rich Rod less, but that I loved Michigan more.

He tweeted out earlier today he put up 26 reps of 225 on the bench...so better than Will Gholston at the combine. I would guess it's pretty good weight.

Taco's been floating around the 250-260 pound range for about a year now. That doesn't ensure that it's good weight, but I don't think this is a sudden binge. I believe he played his senior year somewhere close to 260

So Frank Clark to SDE? Man's almost 280 in the spring. Wow. Also, did Richardson add any weight? 162? Still pretty light... Also, was kind of hoping Funchess would add a little more weight to make him a little more of a blocking threat. And did AJ Williams slim down or did I just imagine him as heavier last year?

Eh, they're only in their first spring. It's not only just adding weight, but transforming the weight to good weight. They may have had to do more of that than expected and haven't had the chance to add additional good bulk yet. They still have summer as well and neither will hopefully have to contribute much this year.

They're still in their freshman year of college, so being in the mid-280's isn't concerning at all.  By the beginning of fall, they're both within range of 290 lbs. as redshirt freshmen.  Our senior starting tackles are 308 and 303, and our likely starting guard (Kalis) is 297 right now.  So they're not far off.

because so many folks said he didn't beat Mealor based on his "slight" build at 288. 288 is not large, but his inability to win the job was more than weight, especially with Mealer's poor reach blocking and assignment blocks.

Now Hoke said "we have to find a center" in his presser the other day. A weak C will hinder us again. I would start Kugler if he has the athleticism to reach block as anticipated.

Running back - 5 ft, 10 inches and 202 lbs

Tight end - 6 ft, 4 inches and 239 lbs

I will say that I am really liking that average size on the offensive line.

and happy with the wide receivers too!  last few years the averages were probably close to 5'10"-5'11" and 180-190lbs (which is what the DBs hopefully will look like)

given enough solid recruiting classes, hoke and company will transform this roster into beasts.  i have no doubt michigan will have a strong, physical, perennial top-10 defense for years to come!
