Does anyone have an up-to-date listing of walk-ons for 2012? Which walk-on or former walk-on may contribution significantly in the upcoming season - now that Will Heininger is graduating?
i find this extremely interesting
Sorry guys, JK has played lights out over the last two seasons. Somehow I I don't think of him as a former walk-on - but he surely is. Me culpa.
I'm a Michigan Man - win, lose, live, or die...and when I pass on send my spirit to the maize block M in the big blue sky.
Blu2NColOH
Not even a Preferred walk-on at that. He made the team via student body tryouts.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
lloyd brady doesnt need to attend walk-ons
I know for certain there is a kicker walking on and WR Bo Dever. Other than that I am not sure.
I believe the kicker's name is Kenny Allen. They're hoping that he can take over punting duties after Hagerup leaves.
I do love Kate Beckinsale.

Could the staff apply for an exemption for Will Heininger since he only played 1 game last year?
Nathan Brink's name keeps getting brought up. The coaches seemed to be talking him up a lot in fall practice, but he didn't do too much in games. Still, they seem to like him a lot and he could end up being a Heininger-type contributor down the road. That conjecture is based solely on the fact that the coaches have been giving him a lot of praise.
I can't decide who is more likely to Walk-On water; Denrard Robinson or Brady Hoke
Denard, he's so fast he just doesn't break the surface tension.
Chaos is found in greatest abundance wherever order is being sought. It always defeats order because it is better organized.
I have a feeling Bo Dever will make his mark one way or another at Michigan. Not saying he will play a huge role, but I can certainly envision situations where it will be beneficial to have an extra 6'-2" receiver on the field.
Fred Jackson says Bo Dever will be Drew Dileo except faster and whiter.
Wasn't their some kid we talked about on here who was getting Prefered Walk-On status at OL who was ridiculously big and was a wrestler in high school and a Jehovah's Witness? I don't remember anything else about him but that.

You are probably thinking of the weight lifter phenom who was on the roster this summer, but didn't seem to make it through fall camp. Gary Yerden, I think was his name. I was pulling for the kid, but he had played very little football and unfortunately didn't last very long
I heard that he quit school and was competing in body building.

Isn't Graham Glasgow from IL also a preferred walk-on OL who at one time was going to OSU?
Like a blind man at an orgy, I was going to have to feel my way through
The coaches have said nothing but positive things about Nathan Brink and he got some PT this year as just a sophomore. Guessing he will at least be in the mix again next year.
Burzynski, Glasgow, Gunderson, and Mateus (two of whom saw garbage time minutes this year) are going to get a lot of reps in spring ball before the big freshman class comes in on the o-line. Doubt any of them come too close to cracking the starting lineup with 4 starters back plus Mealer and Khoury as seniors, but if any of them have a shot at playing down the road now would be their chance to prove it.
It is spelled HOKEAMANIA. Our coach is an ass-kicking American citizen, not one of the Beatles, for Christ's sake!
There was a walk on WR on the team whose name I had forgotten, and when I went to look him up on the roster, he wasn't there. He was from Dearborn and had MAC offers, does anyone know what happened to him?
Also, I just found a different walk on WR on the roster - Jonathon Keizer. He's 6'5" 205lbs. Not sure on his talent, but that's a big WR.
You're thinking of Baquer Sayed. I dont know what happened to him though.
Yeah, there isn't much information on him. His MGoBlue Profile just says "redshirted."

He turned down offers from Ball St. and the Bobcats.
This might not deserve it's own post, since the guy is about 6th or 7th string, but it's a cool piece nonetheless on a 2011 QB, Alex Swieca.
Thanks, nice story. No wonder they aren't worried about bringing in a QB in this class.
Kicker from Fenton. Don't know his name off the top of my head. I've read he's a scholarship level talent and is quite a get as a walk-on.
I got a letter from the government the other day . . .
Outside of paywalls (mainly on this site) it's been reported that:
Kenny Allen Rivals 2-star #14 K
Bo Dever NR WR
Have commited as preferred walk-ons.
Lots of chatter about
Dan Gibbs Scout 3-star OL
Taybor Pepper Highly rated LS
as possible preferred walk-ons.
