$195/6 = $32.50 a game. Just like the past three years, they raise prices by $2.50/game. Seems a little high to just be keeping up with inflation, but I'm not complaining...$32.50 for a seat at the big house is pretty damn good.

Jesus - I remember when it was $130 all in when I was in school.  I guess with all of the renovations that isn't extreme price inflation.

Still - most schools COMP the tickets for their students.  Just another part of the Michigan difference I suppose.  Thank god I wasn't a student during RR's tenure... talk about highway robbery during one of the worst economic crises of our lifetime...

this only served as a reminder that i'm a senior and won't be getting student tickets again. for all you remaining undergrads, enjoy it while it lasts. you can never spend too many games in the student section. still, senior year tickets with home game wins against nd, neb and osu was a great way to go out.

Although admittedly, I am thinking about trying to get someone to buy tickets on my behalf, since my ID is still good through 2015.

Due to the crappy home slate though, I'm actually more thinking of getting someone to buy me tickets to the Alabama game. $50 is a great price and the seats are good too. Either that or ND and/or Ohio would be pretty good pick-ups to (or maybe even Nebraska, as I hear Nebraska fans are pretty hospitable and it's a fun trip to go on).

Read the fine print. For the Alabama game only, the student ticket will be picked up IN DALLAS. And as to where the tickets for this game will be, they'll be similar to the sugar bowl location. Behind the end zone in the lower bowl.

know if they check class schedules to determine if each student ticket holder is taking 9 credits (6 grad credits)?  Im planning on taking 1 grad class this year which will not be enough according to the AD.

Does the AD enforce that?  My ID is still good for 4 years

When I was an incoming freshman in 1999 (Tom Brady senior season), tickets were $85.00...for the six-game season ($14.17/game).  Inflation has not gone up THAT much in 13 years.

Seems pretty shitty compared to last year's package.... or the year before where they included the Big Chill because there werent the 'marquee' OSU/ ND games...

I have a couple questions:

Do the student tickets normally sell out?

My son might be a freshman next year (silly kid is still waiting to hear from 3 other schools).  If he enrolls by May 1st, will there still be tickets available for freshmen?

Yes, they reserve tickets for freshmen. Tickets never "sell out" for students. There's only a deadline. As long as you get tickets by the deadline (which is different for incoming freshmen), you will get tickets. They will have awful priority and thus be seated up in the top of the bowl, but will get tickets. They CANNOT get away tickest through the ticket office I believe though.

student tix are still rockbottom cheap compared to the regular tix.  plus, the student tix get better as u get more credits under your belt, so some lucky seniors are getting some pretty sweet tix (with lots of potential resale value).

They're actually only about half off. My full price season tix last year were 480 for 8 games and I'm expecting closer to 400 this year for only 6 games. The prices aren't out yet, though (if it's 480 for 6 games with only one marquee home game, I wil be pissed).

I seem to recall season home tickets were $35 (total) back in 1973, my freshman year. We had to stand in line for two days to get them.

I transferred to Michigan this winter and I’m setting up my account now. I know student football tickets aren’t being sold yet, but are it normal to see this statement?

“Sorry, you currently have no applications available online. If you have not already activated your season ticket account using your account number and PIN, click on the link below.”

Because I have activated the account with my information.

North Carolina was #1 in the ACC, played at home last year in the B1G-ACC Challenge.

Duke was 2, played on the road.

Florida State was 3, played on the road.

If they went by the standing they used for the BTT, we'd be second in the B1G. I would guess we get North Carolina at home. You never know though.

Anyone know how much they decreased the size of the student section for this year?

If I remember correctly, they were going to decrease the size due to students not showing up to games(and likely so they could sell more full price tix). If an increase in student ticket prices causes more people to show up for games(or force them to sell their ticket to someone who will actually use it) then this could be a positive consequence.
