I've been looking for a copy of this game on YouTube. Does anyone have it? Torrent?

I've uploaded it multiple times but it keeps getting removed. I believe Denard had 2 80 yard td runs. Rest of the game was meh

Horrible scheduling.  You don't play an Alabama smash mouth team, then schedule a cut block team the next week.

It was one of Brandon's initiatives. Nobody wanted that game in the Ath Dept including RR. Scheduling yet another one against Florida was also widely disliked. The fan base wants to see home games. It does nothing for the season ticket holder and the gate receipts from those games are far less than a Saturday in Ann Arbor. Hell, DB didn't even want the band to go.

Ball St continues to be moved around and will likely never be played. That was one game that Hoke wanted. It has been moved to 2020, but will probably get removed for a mid tier power 5 or MWC/AAC game. The problem with canceling games raises problems if it is not mutual. There should be a couple of announcements this summer and one will obviously be the addition of Notre Dame as a 2 on 2 off or very similar scenario to that.

The B1G is implementing Parity Based Scheduling in 2020. They will use the last 5-6 years as a measure of success and pair teams with successful teams from the other division as much as possible. Example, if OSU wins the east three times and Nebraska wins the west three times they will automatically be on the schedule and play each other. Furthermore, you will have to play teams that finish in the top 2-5 positions. It should get very interesting to see that model unless the B1G expands. If I were a betting man, we will very likely be at 16 teams by 2020.

Save yourself the headache and don't watch it. AFA's little RB ran by, through or around us all game long. It was another case of "we can't stop the spread" with a dash of "Denard is our entire offense." I sat in the north end zone for that one, hoping it would begin my healing process after the Bama curb stomping. No such luck, as it was clear we were still on par with upper tier, mid-majors (albeit, AFA's tricky offense can be difficult to contain).

Defense did well against a lot better teams throughout that season.

Gaming the schedule is an art that the previous AD knew nothing about.  Just a horrible setup considering the previous week.

Also, the Alabama game should never have been scheduled in the first place.

Brandon played football for Bo Schembechler.  How the hell did he know nothing about the game?  I had really high hopes for that guy when he was hired.  Nothing but one disappointment after another...  Still pisses me off to think about it.

So thanks for reminding me, and happy Sunday, jerkface.   (... /s)

(Edit:  Yeah, I know the previous AD you meant was Ed Martin.  But still...)

Brandon was nothing more than a stripper wearing glitter and bath and body works spray. His only qualification was he played for Bo, despite the fact that Bo had several hundred if not thousands of players over the course of his career. Brandon and Hackett couldn't be any more different.

Brandon got virtually no actual game time in. He was basically a practice player, and just lettered his senior season.

Still, I agree that the experience of just being with the program for four years would have taught him something. His entire tenure was the antithesis of everything Bo was.

I was there too. Denard was Denard. But the main thing I remember about that game was the discovery Funchess and thinking, "hmm, this guy could be really good."

Another thing I remember is the pregame show. When the Michigan Marching Band plays the opposing team's fight song to honor them, the crowd traditionally boos. No big deal. But you can't boo Air Force. And when it came time, the crowd cheered...and I was a little relieved.

I watched the game in Tennessee with friends who weren't UM fans and had never seen Denard play. When our offense first took the field, I told them to look, Denard was going to take it 80 yards to the house right here. Turns out I was wrong, it took him until the second play.

The last time AFA played osu...osu went home with a loss. Signed, GoWings2008 1991 AFA grad In all seriousness, that game was a very conflicting day for me. It was great to see that the Falcon could hang with a big time team, even if it was my favorite team from my childhood. At the end of the day, I was happy that UM could continue their season with the win, but bummed that it was at the expense of my alma mater. All in all, I was very happy with the respect the Michigan fan base showed us.

Game was in 2012. I was at the game and it was awful. Was sitting near two Air Force fans who were taking shit the whole game. They were the worst fans I have ever encountered. I have had nicer encounters with OSU fans, not joking. Of course after the game these guys shut up pretty quick. I wanted to tell them to go to hell after the game but they were both tall and jacked up. So I just kept my mouth shut and left.

This point in time was pretty close to peak Hoke optimism. Sure we had gotten blown out by Alabama the prior week, but I heard a lot of people rationalize it because of who the opponent was (and they did go on to win the SEC and national titles that year). Struggling with AFA was the beginning of the very long, slow end of the Hoke era.
