2012 LB RJS
For those who are interested, Sam Webb wrote an article this week in the Detroit News on Royce Jenkins-Stone. Very interesting and it looks like we are the clear clear leader for him. Kind of reminds me of D-Hart in how open he was about having Michigan at the top of his leaderboard. My guess is RJS will be a solid to low 4-star recruit. Definitely a key prospect for us to land for 2012.

Would be great to land this kid early, maybe in the spring.

I have the utmost faith that there's no Cecil Newton situation going on here. But it was too interesting not to share.
How a person simply being a fan of Auburn would lead you down that path is insane. You are comparing Mr. Jenkins-Stone to Cecil Newton because he happens to be an Auburn fan... It is nice you have "the utmost faith" that there is nothing like that going on. Congratulations so does the rest of everybody ever because it is asinine to think otherwise.

Thats why I changed my wording a bit. I thought it was a funny coincidence, that's all.

Being an Auburn fan and being a dad does not = anything related to Cecil Newton in any way

Yeah, you're right, I didn't mean to create any story. I thought it was ironic with the Dad-Auburn connection, but mentioning it itself creates a story that was not intended.
We want you RJS!

we don't want to piss dad off. Kid looks great, and we love our Detroit Players (as does Biggie)

since the NCAA now says its okay to solicite money as long as the student athelete doesnt know about it, who really knows now.

I'm guessing his dad is either Jenkins or Stone, probably not both. Double last names are a newer marital construct. Totally guessing though.

Great thread title! "2012 LB RJS" is very descriptive!

It's a wonderful thing. Sarcasm is not.

I disagree. Does it really get any better than good sarcasm?

Not sure if surrious.

Amazingly, that title made sense to me. I need another couple days away.

Along with RJS, Orchard Lake St Marys James Ross has Michigan in his favorites as well.

I think we have a good shot with Wormley too. This class and the next class could get interesting.

He wants to redshirt so he can get used to college life. That sounds pretty grown up of him.

This game in Dallas against Bama might be a pretty nice recruiting tool. We're going up against a national power in the first game of the season in an NFL stadium not named Ford Field. Hopefully, we won't be counting on our freshmen to contribute, but red shirts still travel, right?

If you take a RS you have to leave someone home who might actually play in the game.

Come on down!!!!
The only thing im worried about is that his dad is not a Michigan fan...I still think we'll land him though
