2012-2013 PG Depth

Hate to be that guy, but what is our PG depth going to be like assuming Burke stays, and what is it going to be like assuming he doesn't?

Some questions I'm looking for someone to answer:

Is there anyone currently on the team right now besides Eso and Trey who can run point?

Can Stauskus run point?

Are there any solid available PG recruits who haven't signed yet in the 2012 class out there?  I've found one on scout, Nino Jackson.  Any reason this kid hasn't signed?  Grade issues?

Brundidge left.  Why?  Until someone convinces me otherwise, I'll assume it's due to lack of PT.  He was a highly rated kid out of HS, so I don't buy any arguments that he can't play B1G bball.  And I don't buy that he was too lazy to go through the work-outs. (My reason here is that Belein had seen him for three years.  I suspect laziness would have been something Belein noticed.)

The only other conclusion I can come to is the lack of PT argument.  Remember, he came in knowing that he was fighting for PT after Morris left; PT was important to him.  Remember, Burke is in his class; it wasn't likely he'd be able to start over the 2nd-Team All-Freshman PG.

This implies something very important: he thought Burke was going to stay.  If he had ANY hunch that Burke might go to the draft, he'd have at least waited until April 10th to make his decision.

(I could be missing something here.  But if I'm not, then I have no worries about Burke leaving.)

Ray Lee is from Romulus and committed to Eastern Michigan last month. If Burke leaves and Amadeo doesn't come here maybe he will be an option.

Except for the other thing. That hurts the most. But the lack of respect hurts the second most.

would go pro, and Carlton would leave also? Right would he stay knowing Trey would leave and open up all kinds of playing time for him?

21 years of coaching and every senior who stayed had at least 1 big ten title... That is what " Those who stay will be champions" will really get you Ohio native Bo Schembechler.

How do those schools manage? Seems ridiculous to me we are even in this situation. Do we really expect another PG to come in next year and basically lead the team? What is bundrige thinking? Did he realize he sucks. PT would be there if he was ready. What's the rush? One year commit then bail. That's pitiful. No respect for that dude. Burke isnt ready either but it's all about money. The hell with your school. Obviously that means zippo in the basketball world. Not sure how I got sucked into watching basketball. Now I understand and will stay away.

Burke stays and JB uses the talk of him looking at the NBA to bring in a solid pg recruit.  Who would not want to go to Michigan?  Play for a year backing up Burke and then the playing time is wide open.

FWIW...I ran a search on scout.com of all uncommitted 3* (and better) PGs for the 2012 Class. Here is what I got. It's not good, not too many left. Also not good, because I don't know why they're uncommitted, it could be grades, trouble with the law, etc.
