2011 Spring Game possibly set

Submitted by samber2009 on

According to the College Football Live episode that just ended. Michigan's spring game is April 15.   Has anyone seen that anywhere else?

EDIT: I dont know if these can be right. I have it paused on my screen and it says:

FSU, Georgia, and OU April 8

USC April 9

Michigan April 15

OSU April 22

Oregon and Stanford April 29

Most of these games would be on a Friday if this is true.  I guess I'll just wait for university confirmation.  Indications below suggest April 16th according to rivals.  I wouldn't be shocked if ESPN aired incorrect information.

Question for the board. Knowing how great our offense was last year would you like to see the defense keep them in check the whole spring game or have the offense show it's still darn good in the new system? It's a hard question but I would love to see our defensive players completely in position making it impossible for the offense to move.

I'm not necessarily looking for one side of the ball to win, I'm looking for good positioning.

Example: it would satisfy me to see the offense complete a pass if it's Denard throwing it to a spot where only the WR could catch it (and he does, unlike Roundtree the last few games), even though the DB was right on the guys other hip.

I would like to see a pass rush that almost gets to Denard for the 2 hand touch spring game down on QB's, only to have Denard pull some amazing move and break free like only he can (basically a situation where any other opposing QB would have been sacked).

I would like to see LB's tackle guys right at the point of attack.  But then, when the o-line opens a nice hole, I would like to see RB's who can move a pile a couple yards.

So, in a way, there's a chance that either side could win and it would still make both sides impressive - unlike Roundtree making a catch with a horribly out-of-place DB unable to find themselves in time to catch him in spite of 90-some yards to work with.

And field goals that are made, lots of that.  Oh wait, that's not going to happen because the great hope of kickers will be somewhere getting ready for a prom or something.

I swear, I ALWAYS have a prior engagement when the spring game comes around.  I've never been able to attend a spring game, and it's starting to really piss me off.

I don't know if Mott and the Athletic Department will do it again this year, but the best thing I ever did was to make a donation to get the on-field passes for the pre-game. I chose the Iowa game and my daughter and I were on the sidelines. It was more fun than I could have ever imagined and I have a lot of friends who are going to do it this year with me if offered again.

Mott is a great cause and this is a great way to thank folks for their donations.
