I really hope we keep that South Florida recruiting going. I haven't seen any Pahokee kids on the board yet but there are a few names I've seen from the area that we're targeting for 2011: WR - Kelvin Benjamin (Glades Central) DE - Bryant Dubose (Northeast) WR - Tacoi Sumler (Gulliver Prep)

Right now it's possible we'll take as few as half the number of commits we'll take in the current class, so if recruiting news seems slower, that's probably a factor.

Assuming Smith transfers, Cissoko doesn't come back and we sign a full 29 we currently have room for 12, one more if you add Steve Watson, the only legitimate candidate to not be offered a fifth year.

I have a feeling DeAnthony Arnett is going to be a big battle. Even though he likes the in-state schools, I fear schools from the far west and far south will definitely come calling for his services.

Scout.com list the following players as being offered for 2011: Pos Player CB Delonte Hollowell CB Greg Brown CB Doran Grant DE Chris Rock DE Jalen Grimble DE Jadeveon Clowney DT Tim Jernigan DT Vincent Croce MLB Lawrence Thomas OLB Trey DePriest OT Christian Westerman QB Braxton Miller QB Christian LeMay RB Demetrius Hart S Karlos Williams S Ron Tanner S LaQuentin Smith TE Brian Miller WR Dondi Kirby WR DeAnthony Arnett WR Jarvis Landry Among those is Greg Brown, who is already a verbal commit to Michigan. Most of those players are destined to end up somewhere else, but it does provide an indication of players deemed exceptionally talented.

Justice Hayes does not have an offer. Lupe Fiasco: +1 for pointing out that Henry Winkler is the new k06em01 account. I've been thinking that myself for the past couple days.

There are currently 13 seniors scheduled to graduate after the 2010 season. That means that we would have at the very least 13 scholarships to give (unless any fourth year seniors would redshirt for illness or injury).

Assuming no attrition between now and signing day, if we take 29 players this year we would be able to give 5th years to seven current redshirt juniors. So that would be seven 5th year seniors plus 8 - Rogers 9 - Webb 10 - Sagesse 11 - Evans 12 - Woolfolk FWIW these would be the players eligible for 5th years next year: 1 - Hemingway 2 - Huyge 3 - Molk 4 - Van Bergen 5 - Watson 6 - Williams All but Watson are at least quasi starters and should see their way back barring unforeseen circumstance.

I know we've offered a few high end DT's for the 2011 class, but overall how's DT rankings looking across the board for 2011...in particular NT, is it another down year per say for DT's as others have eluded to in regards to the 2010 class?

I think it's probably a bit early to determine whether the 2011 DT class is strong or not. I'm guessing nobody really knows for sure at this point.
